Lets be realistic here though by the time you weigh it down far enough to not cycle your approaching tacticool and not tactical. A single light is enough to make a HD shotgun up to par for 99% of the people out there. After all most of the people that add all that stuff need a scatter gun to make up for accuracy anyway so go figure.
-
They added a gas operating system to back up the inertia system which means just that not that the M1, 2 & 3 were inferior. In reality the M4 you bought isn't a military spec model so it doean't really matter anyway.
-
But it doesn't need to be against anything the only catch here is that what ever the pad is against needs to move.
-
2) The M3 forearm is not the same as a Nova/Supernova so you will need a M3 specific one. 3) As for popularity the M3 was a LE hit but most people want a pump or semi-auto not both.
-
So which viewpoint are you going to run with instead of being wishy washy?
-
Hey no problems here I just wanted to make sure you understood that I didn't just stumble apont this forum and post out of bordem. As for lasers there ok until you start to rely on them as the sole means POA. My S&W M&P40 has the OE laser grips and I love them but once they are set I turn them off and use my sights to eliminate my first statement.
-
Exactly but don't try convincing the local M4 happy squad that the M2 can really do that. Then again by there deffinition all M2's should be able to cycle is buckshot and slugs.
-
I just have to know, have you even shot or own an M2?
-
You get my point. Just don't talk to me like I am some novice who spent the past year saving up to buy an M2 and now that I have one I think it's the greatest thing since the automobile.
-
Well I ran a box of Winchester Super Speed xtra through mine without a snag and thats the cheapest crap you can buy at Wal-Mart.
-
Don't be a **** about things I am not some high schooler with my first shotgun. If you want to be cute about something take it up with the folks that pretend the M2 is useless.
-
For the most part I have been using 2 3/4" Federal Heavy Field Loads which are I belive 3 1/4 dram and 1 1/8oz.
-
That is a two sided question but when simply applied to only Benelli shotguns I would trust my M2 the same as any M4. If I do something to make my M2 not cycle during a HD situation it wouls also happen with the M4.
-
I have and it cycles just fine, same with any angles and upside down.
-
Why do some of you continue to bring cost up when comparing the M2 and M4. If it was only because the M2 is a little cheaper it would be no big deal but you guys say it like people who buy M2's cannot afford the M4. Also my M2 cycles just fine with a mag. tube mounted light which to me is all a person needs for HD duty on a shotgun. **** I don't even use the light I just bought it to see if it would cycle.
-
I practice with birdshot also and have had not one issue so once again whats your point?
-
Mine will cycle everything down to the cheap Wal-Mart Winchester birdshot. Of course I don't normally buy the cheap stuff but I had some left over from shooting clays with the SuperNova. I don't have stuff hung on my M2 though so maybe if you need all that tacticool stuff it won't cycle.
-
They are painted.
-
You say it like using that for an example is any dumber than bringing up stuff like this in a for sale thread is any wiser.
-
- Who buys a M4 to shoot light loads? - It isn't more heavy duty as you call it and anything that is beyond need makes it heavier. - The resale thing is out the window now that they are readily available. - I am a man and my shoulder can handle a 12 gauge can't yours? I could argue with you all day long but it still comes down to the fact that your a cheap ass with an expensive gun and thats all. Really though who buys a $1500 tactical shotgun and then praises it's ability to shoot skeet/cheap ammo, sorry kiddo but thats what I have a 26" Supernova around for. Whats next are you going to tell me all about the sweet rail that comes standard too?
-
That would be like trading my Corvette Z51 for a Corvette Z06 just so I can beat Ford Escorts by 26 cars instead of only 24. Since you seem to find such humor in me prefering the M2 could you at least tell me what the M4 does better.
-
Sorry but when someone makes it sound like an M2 is a waste of money and will not shoot anything other than buckshot and slugs I will call BS.
-
Unobtanium, Ok I have been trying to be nice but please tell me this is a ******* joke, if not it is the stupidist thing I have read on here so far and is the very reason I laugh at M2 vs M4 threads. Whats even funnier is right out of the box I have been shooting cheap ass Winchester low steel 2 3/4" 8 & 7 1/2 birdshot I had left over from my SN. I also shot a box of Federal high brass and one box of Federal 154 Buckshot. The only FTF I had was when I forgot to chamber a round. Would you like to make fun of my new Silverado W/T too since it is the cheap model and not the super luxurious LTZ I wanted a truck and thats what I got just like I wasnted a semi-auto and got a M2.
-
I used to be all OCD about my guns but I finally got it through my head that use will cause wear. I don't mind marks from cases/hulls being ejected just as long as it isn't cheap paint jobs letting it happen.
-
Come on now I got other toys for HD too it's ok if my M2 stays factory for a few weeks. Besides I have an eye for detail and in that picture it looks like there is a cap/plug in the hole.
