  1. I am not a lady. I do not shoot chimney swallows. I deeply regret that so many feel so insecure that things have come to this. It is a sad commentary on the "state of our union." God bless you and keep you safe. Hope to he** you don't shoot anyone in your family or a friend accidentally. Think about what you are doing. Be safe but be sure. Protect our rights by NOT abusing them.
  2. Thanks, Novaking. Shotguns are for putting food on the table. Killing folks ain't for me. Tired of all the Macho dudes that think they are going to do otherwise. Hope they don't kill me if I happen to knock on their door! I would much rather see more technical (mechanical) and hunting issues addressed on the forum.
  3. Great news... I am a happy camper. Went to my local dealer where I bought the gun, and he ordered a new forend for me for only $170. That beats the heck out of $300 now doesn't it. And my gun will be like new. Benelli may be difficult to deal with and be a bit lacking in customer service, but at least my dealer is taking good care of me! (Hope it's the RIGHT forend???) Have a goodun, Rod P.S. -- you know, $170 for such a small piece of wood IS still kind of ridiculous, now isn't it?
  4. Got an email message from Benelli... finally. I had asked how much, and what are the ordering procedures. I got a phone number to call. Not good. This is NOT customer service. This is customer "run-around."
  5. It appears to me that, at this juncture, we might be creating our own problem. I went to our local WalMart today and thought maybe I should should pick up an extra case or two of shotgun shells just in case they started going up like our gasoline did during the hurricane season, given the current state of affairs. I found NO 20 gauge shells left on the shelves and very few 12 gauge left and they we already marked up over $20 since last week. Panic situation... just like WE created with the gasoline thing a few weeks ago. Gas got up over $4 during the hardship (here in Texas during the hurricane), mostly due to supply & demand (and panic), but I filled up my truck at $1.54 a gallon yesterday! Be cool, lay back, send money to NRA or join if you're not a member. These guys can do the MOST good for us at this point I think. I think the majority of congressmen probably also like to hunt/shoot and if they they don't it is our responsibility to make them feel the proper amount of pressure from US to take care of us... (or lose their jobs!!!) (Most) All the failed attempts in our various states to screw things up for us have failed so far... that is witness to what I am saying. Most (good) congressmen know who they are representing. Let's hang together on this! Join NRA and write YOUR congressman and tell him how you feel about your rights. But don't PANIC!
  6. My experience exactly. Can't get any help from them. Great guns, poor service. "Benelli -- Simply Imperfect!" Love my gun, but am disappointed with the customer service. They certainly need to do better. The word is going to get out about this situation and hurt their sales eventually. I regret this. They have a wonderful product... they should back it up with wonderful customer service!!!
  7. Benelli -- Simply Imperfect! I think they should be able to do better, given the prices we pay for their guns!
  8. O.K., MountainGuy, since you seem to be a proponent of Benelli customer service, please take a look at MY post and give me a hand. I would LOVE to be able to say that Benelli helped me with ANYTHING. I have experinced nothing but non-response from them. I would most probably buy what I need from them if they would just respond. MontefeltroPro (only one post so far, so it should be easy to find)
  9. Thanks for your reply. Yes, I know we are in "big-dollar" territory here, but I want this gun "right!" When you spend $1,600 for a gun... you want it RIGHT. The thing that perplexes me is that Benelli is so impenetrable. They don't reply to your requests or questions or problems. I am just looking for a place to find the forend. It would suit me fine if it were available from OTHER than Benelli... I am really disappointed with their "customer service"... (non-existent). I am wondering if the Montefeltro 90 forend would work? Those are available a couple of places in the $150 range (Numrich for one). Of course, I want the same one I had (which came with the gun)... AA grade satin walnut. Anybody know where to find one? I HAVE given Benelli a chance to help but have heard nothing from them. Thanks, Rod
  10. Anyone know where I could find a new forend for my Montefeltro Silver 20 gauge? I want the exact same one that came on it... AA grade satin (dark) Walnut. Got tangled up in some briars yesterday, fell, and scratched the heck out of my brand new gun (but just the forend)... it was my FIRST trip out with it. Just want to keep it looking great. Thanks in advance for any help or advice you can supply. Rod
