  1. and none of what i stated was a cheap shot Rocket, it is actually happening there. I do still love my home state but have NO desire to raise my 2 little ones in it. The only thing that state has left is a few good folks like yourself and the good weather. Oh and more people have left Ca and more have actually moved to Texas out of all 50 states. Not to mention I can fire my "Legal" full auto M4 and/or "Legal" Bazooka if i could find one...Ha Ha

Hey Skeeter, Good to see your alive and kicking.... I figured you'd already stashed away several bazookas in your underground bunker by now and were working on getting an ICBM that says "Say hullo to my liddle friend" on the side!!!!

  2. My Thanks to any members that made noise on this one. Like Case said we'll probably have to deal with this one again in the future but at least they will remember the resistance they got this time around and hopefully think twice. We will keep fighting the good fight out here in our beautiful state and catch some killer waves in the meantime...

  3. Finally got my M4 after saving up for quite awhile with family emergencies in-between!! So my plan is to change out the mag tube for the full length, the stock for a standard straight stock, the forearm and the follower. would that make it compliant or do i need one more?

The stock doesn't need to be changed if the other parts you mentioned are all US made.

  4. ya nutz! I can not see this passing. way to many gun owners in cali

Probably true but it doesn't hurt to remind these people that we are here and watching... There's always someone willing to take what you have if they think they can get away with it

  5. Once again, you don't have to change ANY parts if you are buying a surplus LE gun. It can have an extended mag and c-stock with all the original parts. It is already 922r compliant since it was surplused from a LE agency. State laws may apply though. Check your local laws.

+1...I agree, The law applies to assembly, It's already been assembled...

  6. Yes, I read the thread link that Hookster posted. I guess what I meant to ask was, what were the common parts that people exchange?

Hey FLAWLS1 Like BigHat said.. With a PG stock most change mag tube, follower and forearm to a Surefire or FFT. Those are the three I changed out but another common combo would be mag tube, follower and Mesa Urbino stock.

  7. I live in New Zealand and need a recoil spring for my 1974 M1. Thoughts?

    Hey Jeff,

It Might be difficult to get one exported from the US. I checked Numrich and they won't ship this item outside the US.

Here's the contact info for Berretta (Benelli's parent company) in New Zealand. They market Benelli in NZ.

You might want to start with a inquiry there

    Good Luck on your quest!!

Curious: Why the 6 slot rail on the CDM for you?

I will probably order both the 4 and 6 slot rails but it looks like the 6 slot has a set of holes at the end which would put the other end of the rail a little further back than you could get the 4 slot assuming you have the clamp portion as far back as it will go on the mag tube. I'm thinking I will probably have to remove the factory forward sling plate to help with the clearance. It it sounds linked the new clamp will provide a new forward sling mount. I'm looking to have the light mounted on the right side so that I'd be activating with left hand index finger. I'll keep you posted... And if anyone has any other ideas along these lines I'd love to hear them..

  9. Welcome to the forum Case!! May be able to trade out the bolt on the CDM to something that could be tightened/loosened with a quarter etc. I've mocked mine up with tape where I think I can get it to sit using the CDM with the 6 slot rail mounted offset from the end and liked the positioning well enough although I can't tell for sure if I will have clearance enough at the front of the forearm. I may need to shim the rail out slightly and trade out to slightly longer rail mount bolts

    parts.

Hey Rocket I just took my Surefire off too along with my Sidearmor rails.. I'm looking at a couple different lightweight mounting options for an x300....I'll keep you posted.
