  1. Hey Joe! Congrats on the new baby!!! Just remember the M2s inertia system doesn't like too much extra weight added on accessory-wise.....Thats what M4s are for!.....:)

  2. Hey StrangerDanger!

It's been interesting to see the changes your M4 configurations have gone through the past few years. I'm finding myself wanting to move in the same direction and strip off any superfluous weight. I'm losing the Sidearmor and remote switch and I like the idea of dropping the Surefire forearm and going back to factory grip (with Kip's hammer of course for 922r :D) but do want to keep a light that I can manipulate easily, I just got a Surefire X300 for my new HK USP 45 so I'm going to play a little with that but may end up going with the Scout. What do you think of the KZ that Sukoi_fan posted? Would that do what your trying to achieve here with only minimal weight difference?

  3. I had that problem a couple of days ago when wanting to post a Hi-Viz sight for sale. still hasn't showed up

I think they have some anti-spam program going and some links are just throwing up a red flag for some reason :(

  4. I keep getting this message (3 attempts) when I tried to post to the "10 year clean" thread:

Since it is letting me post a new thread, here's the link I was trying to post in "10 year clean" with good recoil tube maint. info

  5. Hey Rocket, since they both are rail mountable I think the RTS is just their latest/greatest smaller version that can also mount on scope rings etc like a Docter. The railway version is what they've had for years. I bought one for my AR w/ rear sight all in one mount back in 1999. I worked well enough but I found eventually it wouldn't turn off quite all the way although this was like 11 years after I bought it. Here's a pic of it:

  6. Hi Shellbelle,

There was a post with pictures quite awhile back from someone that did a good looking job of shortening. If I recall correctly they had to re-establish some blocks in the end to screw the recoil pad into and shave down the pad to fit. So.....It can be done if you really want to retain the original stock. If I can find the post I'll let you know.

    EDIT Ahh here we go....

I believe there was another post with pics of the process but this shows you the results and gives some description

  7. Hi Shellbelle,

Shortening the original stock is quite involved but SpeedFeed makes this black synthetic replacement one with 13" pull

Also, Mesa makes their Urbino stock to fit the M2, it has 12 1/2" pull

  8. I dont think it means you can add whatever you want to those models and import freely as 922r still applies. The way around this would be to have new models approved with all the features already installed but I dont think this is going to happen.

I agree but it's nice to dream..... :)

  9. Get pulled over yet with the Z06?

I agree with the assessment of the Urbino. However, if using iron sights, it's the best way to go to get the shorter LOP. On hte middle position with the collapsible stock, the irons aren't very comfortable. It is ideal for an optic though.

I'll be looking forward to seeing your new baby too Unobtanium!

I've been away from the site for awhile myself but hope to be getting back to some Benelli building business again soon as well.

Hey StrangerDanger! Long time no see...Did you obtain and test an Urbino?

  10. Don't worry SD.....it'll be soon! The veterinary clinic thing has taken a bit of my play $ away as well as a few other unexpected year end expenditures but the tide seems like it's beginning to come back in.... will post pics with my Urbino soon.

    :)
