  1. Hey All,

I just wanted to offer my thanks to all forum members who served in the armed forces and vets everywhere.

All gave some and some gave all.

    Thank a vet tomorrow!

  2. Hookster,

Thanks for posting. I had missed this but TIVO'd the show based on your first post. EXCELLENT show. Surprised to see a VERY positive Washington Post review of the series after the first two shows. I enjoyed them both. AMC threw some serious $$ at this. Guess they used Mad Men $$

    Hey BigHat,

Yeah... AMC has really put out some quality stuff in the past few years, I'm a big fan of Breaking Bad too, It's getting better every season and I'd rate it up there with The Sopranos.

  3. I'm a fan so far, It would be fun to be ripping around zombie city in the orange Dodge Challenger!

I'm wondering what kind of troubles will be following them from leaving that guy handcuffed up on the roof of the department store.

  4. I don't suppose Benelli makes replacement stocks for the Super Nova with a shorter LOP? I'm used to ARs with short stocks and so the Benelli feels a bit awkward. The retractable stock would fix this, but a shorter standard fixed stock would work just as well, and probably be cheaper, if it exists.

Some members have posted some good looking results with cutting down their Supernova stocks, filling the back with Marinetex (to provide new material for the buttpad screws to screw into) I'm searching to see if I can find the pics/instructions for you.

  5. will the Urbino ever be here or is it a fairy tale?

why is the stock forearm better in your opinion?

    It'll be here soon.......:)

The stock forearm is lighter and I find it more comfortable to grip. I don't have anything mounted to the Surefire rails so it isn't doing anything for me in that sense. My light, switch and Daniel Defense sling attachment are all mounted to my Sidearmor rail. The Surefire only serves as a 922r compliance part for me but the Urbino is US made so it will serve as my 3rd compliance part.

  6. Hookster - just curious - what does she weigh ?

About 9.3lbs without the Aimpoint seen in the pic. (The Aimpoint is for my Socom 16, just had it on the M4 for fun)

When I get a Urbino stock I plan to take the Surefire M80 off and put my OEM grips back on. This will save about another 3 oz. I'm not sure what the weight savings is between the OEM stock and the Urbino but I'm guessing that the Mesa is lighter.

  7. Hi Bryanter and welcome to the forum.

You might check your capacity with another brand of shells, some brands are slightly longer (up to 1/8" or so) when you times that by the number of shells in the mag tube you can end up a little shy of getting in the last round.

  8. I have a Nordic +2 tube extension on my Super Nova and it feels like it's just a bit shy of allowing that seventh round. Has anyone tried the +2 extension with the 3/4" extended cap? Seems like that might be just long enough without adding a lot of extra length.

  9. Hi Nordic and welcome to the forum!

They are hard to find. You might want to start checking Gunbroker daily, at some point the diligence will pay off but it's not going to be cheap.

Check here daily too, if someone spots one they usually post a link.

  10. Thanks, Makes me feel a lot better.I was hoping it didn't have to back to the mother ship.I bought it because it looked soooo cool. I'm a HK auto guy of every variation, but know nothing about this.Maybe one more question. What shells (loads-shot)do you advise i break this in with.

    Thanks,

    ken

    Hey Ken,

I recently saw the light as far as HK handguns (.45 USP and thinking about .45 Expert next) My Glocks and XD may be getting dusty

For break in you'll get a lot of answers but just lube it up good and shoot it! I used Remington 00 and slugs

    BTW don't forget to accessorize!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
