  2. Hookster,

Why the limbsaver? just curious, I'm thinking about adding one of these to mine as well and before I decide I would like to know your prefrences for the limbsaver version.

    Hi Hogslayer,

I've never tried a Limbsaver but have always noticed all the positive comments about them by those that have used them so I thought I'd give it a try with the Urbino.

Here's one of many positive online reviews:

  3. I ordered a Carrier Comp titanium extended tube for my Benelli M4. I want to make sure I am 922r complaint before I even begin disassembling the M4.

I know I can put on handguards, but from what I've read there are no inexpensive quality ones and I am really not a fan of the Surefire rail if there is another option out there.

    Hey TD,

I have a KZ quadrail in excellent condition for sale 150 shipped. Here's my ad.

  4. Hi Dozaken and welcome to the forum!

    Here's the link:

that one appears to be listed as fitting the M2 so I don't believe that will work. The M1 stock interchanges with the M3. I'm not sure if being a HK import changes anything but I don't think so

  5. Hello

This quote has a thousand uses...plug, play and enjoy.

On page 3 of the 2010 Spyderco product guide is a quote from Sal Glesser, President of Spyderco. It is a powerful quote.I quickly saw other possibilities, like this: "When you need a gun, you're not really looking for a gun. You're looking to make a hole. When you need a BENELLIM4SUPER90, you're not looking for a BENELLIM4SUPER90, you're looking to rapidly make a plethora of very large holes." ME163

Inspired by Sal Glesser, President of Spyderco.

    I like holes........

  6. Maybe I'll start forwarding all these post to Jeff and maybe I can be a field rep, but I must yield to Hookster, it was his post and review that led me to the Sidearmor in the first place. So I thank Hookster for his efforts also.

    Muchos Gracias El Presidente!

    El Hookestro...:)

  7. Now just a note, and again it is my professional opinion only.

I have spent 20+ years teaching Law Enforcement and If someone showed up on my range with the elastic, super glued, hand stitched, and came with a set of matching dice to hang from your rear view mirror, POS, they would get one day to remove it, or, not qualify on my range. That simple. It is like someone coming to the range to qualify with their duty weapon out of a cheap Uncle Mikes holster. It just would not be happening on my range.

I am sure these things are great for the pretend world of 3 gun matches, and many of the shooters there are fantastic competitors, but, if you can not depend as close to 100% as you possible on your equipment, then something needs to change. The design alone has many tactical, real life scenario issues. I do not like the the simple fact if this thing sits in a rack, in a vehicle, in the sun, how long before it looses it's super kung fu grip... Or better yet, stays attached to the side before the super duper wonder glue gives up the ghost and let's go.

I Know my sidearmor will still be intact. I say again,

    I Know!!!

You will get what you pay for. Even the almost perfect Mesa Tactical units have their own flaw. The rubber they use to hold the shells in, deforms the round after a little time in the carrier. After loading in a semi auto, you will most likely have a malfunction. Not so much an issue on pump guns, but we are talking the M4.

I had the Mesa units and have since replaced them with the Sidearmor. If you are whining about the weight it adds, All I can say is eat some Wheaties man... It is a minimal compromise for the great benefit of rock solid security.

Now that this is all said, I do not promote just any accessory that is the new wiz bang on the block. I have ran this thing through the works and let my underlings try to screw it up in the live fire house with the SWAT guy's. They love it, they ***** very little about the weight, but love the security and reliability. So It gets one of my very rare seal of approvals. The SWAT guy's I train are soon to get the same on their weapons.

Thats all I have to say about that...

    Condensed version: Sidearmor Rules!!!!...:)

  8. where is your Urbino stock ?

If all was right with the world it would be on my M4.....:)

The Surefire forend is the one that I'm removing when I get the Urbino. The KZ has just been sitting around collecting dust since I got it. i just got it to play with and see if I liked it but I much prefer the Sidearmor rail for mounting my stuff on. I never even took it out to shoot with the KZ on.

    Later,

    Hookster :)
