to be honest I only want the Cstock cuz I like the way it looks on the gun. The oem stock I have now works just fine. Thats why I am not really worries to much about it.
-
I still see a few on GB for 500 bucks but never any bids. I just seen 1 up for $400 bucks still no bids but I think it just got put up? I still feel they are only worth $300 bucks tops but will i ever see that again? am I dreaming? should i get over it? lol, I was over them untill Botac had that sale now I want one againg.

I'd get this offset mount instead:
after I get everything I will see if I can make it work if not I will try this. looks very clean.
Thanks for your help and everyone else who posted
-
I haven't tried this, but take a look at this offset mount.
I had bought the M80 as well, then returned it and went with the SideArmor offering. The factory forearm is a **** of a lot more comfortable.
man I love that picture.
-
great pictures in your album! you have skill cutting the foam huh. you should sell thoes services, lol.
-
Good price on the X400.
My issues with the m80 was where you are forced to mount the light. It doesn't leave a lot of room for hand placement. I'd buy an offset rail that would allow you to attach the light at the 1:30 or 10:30 position.
The problem with a bottom mount is how large the x400 is with that tail cap assembly is the overall size. Expect half o the rail to be consumed. You end up with an uncomfortable forearm.
Damnit I should of asked a few question before buying, lol.
I am a big person and i grab middle to end of fore grip thats not gonna work like you said.

We are still allowed detachable magazine weapons here in CA, I have several. The definition of an "assault weapon" in the State of California is as follows (from CA DoJ):
Generic Characteristics Defining Assault Weapons:
12276.1 (a) Notwithstanding Penal Code section 12276, “assault weapon” shall also mean the following:
Rifles
(1) A semiautomatic, centerfire rifle that has the capacity to accept a detachable magazine and any one of
the following:
(A) A pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon.
(B) A thumbhole stock.
© A folding or telescoping stock.
(D) A grenade launcher or flare launcher.
(E) A flash suppressor.
(F) A forward pistol grip.
(2) A semiautomatic, centerfire rifle that has a fixed magazine with the capacity to accept more than 10
rounds.
(3) A semiautomatic, centerfire rifle that has an overall length of less than 30 inches.
this is in addition to the Roberti Roos act of 1989
Ya I asm from california I understand most of the rules.
If your gun has a detchable mag it can not have any features. Pistol grip, flas hider, ect. If your gun has a fixed mag you can have all the features

I was watching a product review of the R1 on youtube and the the reviewer mentioned that the buttstock was interchangable with (I think) the M2 shotgun stocks. So I'm wondering if 1: That is true and 2: Is that true with the MR1 as well. The reason being I'm a Californian for pity's sake!! We are dying for AR alternatives. We already own a mini-14 but frankly I find it somewhat lacking and outfitted with a ComfortTech stock I think the MR1 would be 100% CA conpliant so can it be done?
You will still need something to stop the mag from dropping. the stock looks fixed so that is no problem with either.

I just placed a order for a
M80 = $180
X400 = $330
t107 = $120 (rail mounted switch for the X400)
I belive thoes are great deals no tax free shipping.
question is would you mount the X400 on the side of the surefire rail or bottom. I have a slight case of OCD where thing have to be even so if its on the side it will bother me but if its best there then so be it. If it makes lil difference I want to mount it on bottom.
-
but, i was under the impression that the rail that comes on the M4 sucks and should be replaced anyway :X
ya thats what everyone says but i have no use for the top rail anyways so it sucks to have to buy one. But I like the shell holder and I probably will.lol
-
shell holder looks nice to bad you have to buy a rail to make it work.
-
oh im just razzin ya there KM!!
what is the serial# of your m1014?? and you dont have to get rid of it. you could always have a notched recoil tube installed on it. thats what i did on my m1014. looky here now.......
damn it I hate when you post that picture.
-
hey Rocket, thats one funny a$$ post!! ya could have just sent a pm with yer offer!!
:D
Ya but this post might prompt someone to offer him the $120. Then that will save me $100 bucks, lol
-
Not to be a cheap ******* but when you get to $100 I will take it. Normaly I would just pay you the $120 cuz realy whats $20 bucks but today $20 is alot, lol
-
As Steve just said for the HK45 it has to be PPT. that sucks cuz knowing people they will try and gouge you for alot of cash.
I was hopeing it would be something simple sorry Hookster.

Hey All,
After checking out a friends HK USP compact .40. I've been thinking about getting a Standard USP in .45 or the USP Expert in .45. Anyone here have either one and opinions they's like to share? I know the Expert runs about $400 more but that's not an issue, I don't mind stimulating the economy.......
FYI The HK45 and USP Tactical would be my first choices but those are both no-nos here in CA.
Later,
Hookster
I thought the HK45 was good here? does it have a threaded barrel also? If so swap it out.
I habe 2 USPs ove them both always had my eye on the HK45 but no you busted my bubble damn it.
I will look into the HK45 and if we can dance around the silly laws.
-
its definitely nice, sweet even.
But for that price I'd rather have another gun than a piece of plastic...
you can not make posts like that with a name "tacticoolerthanyouson" it just dont fit the user name, lol

Riflegear of Costa Mesa is now carrying Benelli's. They are very good to deal with.
Ill bump a good CALIFORNIA gun dealer.
-
When I ordered mine I was to late and they were sold out, but about a week later I got a email saying at least a month untill they got more.
-
Bump as I am just now in the market for a rail also and would love to hear comparisons.
-
Quick questions if you dont mind?
Why did you switch rails and what did you switch to?
how much does the sure fire go for new?
last question what was mounted on it? I want to mount a X400 you think thats ok?
-
Only if you're facing someone who hasn't been trained in low-light fighting.
Anyone with a modicum of training isn't going to stand there with their light on and be a target.
Move --> Strobe --> Move --> Shoot --> Move
ETA: I have been evaluating the 600 lumen TNVC head mentioned earlier in low-light carbine courses. After being illuminated with the TNVC head, a suspect with night-adjusted vision will be effectively blind for nearly a full minute, unless he showed up wearing a welding mask.
I have the Stock head on mine and I had the wifey blast me with the beam of light in the day time and my eyes were not good for awhile. If some one got hit with that light at night they would not see anything for a long time.

I want to install my carrier comp tube. Should I use a hair drier to heat the glue off on the old one? Should I use lock tight on the new one? Will it void the warrenty? Any installation tips?
If you search the site their is some step by step instructions on how to do it.
