  1. OK I measured from middle of butt stock to middle of trigger.

    9.25 closed

    12.25 middle

    14.00 all the way open

of coares these are not exact measurment as I just grabbed a tape and put it on it but it is close enough I doubt Im off much anyways +/- .10 maybe

  2. Well this little guy is our Tibetian Mastiff.. these are older pictures I bet he's about 40lbs heavier. I think He's 160lbs now and He can jump a 5ft fence and he's a lot faster then you would think. he's about 5'10" standing on his back legs.

Thats a great picture. A big giant fluffy pillow that will bite you ass if you mess with the Lil sleeper.

  3. Extend the stock all the way. Look at the recoil tube, you'll see 2 lines going around the tube like a ring I guess you can say. Push the button with your sore thumb and turn the top of the stock away from you,(this is assuming you're holding the gun on your right side), continue holding the button and slide the stock forward until the front-most edge of the stock is lined up on the line that's closer to the grip. This will be called "the line in front". Now straighten the stock and release your sore thumb from the button and give it a break. If that doesn't work then there's some supernatural forces at work here and you're gonna need an exorcism.

LOL, you are my new hero and my thumb thanks you.

From your last post to me about this I was linning up the poiny front part of the stock on that line instead of the tube part, lol, I got it now.

First line to take stock off

    second line is middle position

  4. Well I have a bunch of new parts for my M4 and one I am realy stuck on is the Cstock. I have it on right I think but it only goes all open or all closed no middle spot. I push the button in and have to rotate the stock to the right then move up or down is that correct? If so that is lame it should slide stgraight up and down. Anyways my new Benelli thumb is from holding the Cstock button down for so long and so hard trying to figure it out that it is actually numb, lol

Another rant is I realy wanted and got the camo version M4 I have enough black guns but after all my parts not much camo left, lol. Now If I get the side armor shell holder there realy isnt much left, lol I know I am not that smart but I can lift realy heavy things.

Pics to come after kips tube is installed

  5. How is your X400? I noticed last night that my lens is cracking around the edges. That's hard to believe since it was fine before I went out back and fired a lousy 15 slugs at some cans. I'm careful with my gun and I know I didn't knock it on anything. The thing couldn't handle 15 2 3/4" Winchester slugs from Walmart?

I dont even have batterys in it yet, lol. I am waiting on kips tube so I can do it all at 1 time even thought I admit I put the Cstock on.

Im am sure surefire will take care of you at least I hope they do.

  6. thanks for your input, im not sure if its an hk import or not. the deal is from my cousin so i wont be counteroffering him as long as its a fair deal and im getting the felling that its fair.

I think its fair. I just anwsered you at calguns also, lol.

I love my M1 you will love yours to.

  7. Damn Rocket, could ya have dug up an older thread????:D

this was the first one that poped up with search.

I have the camo version M17017 or what ever code but I can only get my Cstock to be full length or closed all the way. I thought there was a middle position?

    Is it on wrong?

  8. I don't know, I don't think I'd ever want to go to a longer barrel if I went to the trouble of getting the shorter one. I wouldn't be gaining any mag capacity, just a longer barrel. Don't think I'd do that.

you could just screw on the +2 mag extension anytime you swapped to 18". No bigge bro just trying to help it seemed like you realy wanted both so I was givin options.

  9. It's great to hear the different viewpoints. I'm a cop so going with the Entry was naturally my first instinct. But it's not going to be for duty use (at least not for now) so I probably have no need for it. My main thinking was really for the weight savings--I'm not that big of a guy. After handling the 18.5" though, I think it'll be fine. And like y'all said, I can always get another one later.

If you fill out the paper work with ATF and get the 14" can you switch to the 18 in when you want? If so I would do that as you fall in the 10% that will actually use the 14 for what is suposed to be used for.

  10. I don't want to repost someone else's post photos, but....I bet Texas Skeeter has comparison photos for you to look at and decide if you'd like Tacti-Cool (18") or Tacti-HELLAcool (14")

I only say hellacool because of the relative exclusivity of having a 14".

I guess intended purpose should be considered. For years the 6+1 Rem 870 was deemed acceptable. Now that the M4 has come around with a 9+1 possibility in the 18"(float a round on carrier) all of a sudden the 14" (5+1 I believe??) is seemingly inadequate!

My $.02, is, if it's for HD and fun, the 14" will suffice. If you're going to do 3-gun, then negative, get the 18".

Either way, in the end, you'll be saving up $$ to purchase the one you don't have. :p

    Best of luck!

I agree it depends on the purpose its used for. If its used for its intended pursope to enter a home/ building ect then yes its small and gets the job done. But would I take it out in the sand box and try to have a firefight with the bad guys **** no. Now the most important thing for 90% of us is coolness or tacticoolness cuz we realy aint doing stuff like that, then **** ya get it be the only kid on your block with one and have fun shooting the paper target bad guys.

  11. You're gonna be carrying that thing around with you like a kid with a teddybear when you're finished.:D

LOL, you know me so well.

I want to take it to the local trap club and see if I can hit any birds with the laser sight on,lol. That outta freak them out a bit.

  12. Is there a reason/benefit that most people have their lights on the forend and not the end of the bbl? Or is it just for ease of mounting? On both my M-16 and M2, I have the x300 mounted close to the end of the bbl, with remote switches where my hand rests (course, both guns are pretty short, so they are just ahead of the forend anyways). The weight is negligible to me, and it doesn’t light up the bbl/sights, nor cast a bbl shadow. Just wondering, since most setups I see here have the light on the forend.

I have it there for looks but I also havnt even turned it on yet. waiting for Cstock tomorrow and kips tube when ever he ships it? then I am gonna do it all at 1 time and find what works best. but I like it on the forend best.

  13. My cat OWNS my pitbull. It's pretty pathetic. The dog is like a big baby most of the time.:o

LOL my moms cat smacks the **** outta my pit ever time I bring her over, dumb ass dog thinks the cat is playing while her nose is bleeding all over the yard.

  14. Hey jng,

One thing I like about the Streamlight vs Surefire is that the remote plug is a 90 degree plug which makes for less extra wire sticking out (at least the way I have it mounted) see my pics in posts 27, 28 and 29 of this thread

    http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=17597

The Surefire plug sticks straight out, so it creates a loop of wire that could possibly snag on things.

    Later,

    Hookster :)

Yes very true the surefire switch comes straight out the back making the light longer than it needs to be. i will zip tie it down so it wont get snagged on something but still not a good design for a company like surefire. If the switch was bent at a 90 I could use X400 mounted at the bottom where i want it now i might have to mess with it?????

  15. Post a pic of your wife then..... :D

Seriously though my dog sleeps in my room and is alert to strange noises and what not like most other dogs, if there's any suspicion in the night hours it's not my dog checking the house and I'd like to keep it that way. He stays behind where my family is.

Ya I have a pit she looks mean and barks mean but realy just wants you to pet her,lol

she will bark if something is up and that is all I need her to do.

Pictures of my wife would be a mistake cuz she would pistol whip me when I am sleeping, lol

  16. Your 'first line of *defense*' is subject to being breached in under a second. lol

Here's a thought: get another dog to work with that one and double the length of time your 'first line of *defense*' remains viable.

FWIW I rely on protection dogs myself, but I comprehend their limitations. And yes, I DO expect my dog to be a 'hero' by charging into the fight at WOT without any hesitation, and I fully appreciate the consequences.

From my perspective a dog which is a component to one's home defense is strictly a buffer.

F that my dog is like my kid I want her to bark and that is it. i will do the rest. If someone has to take the pain in my house it will be me not my dog or my kids the wife ya maybe but no one else, lol.

  17. Hello Rocket,

Did you also purchase the Surefire X400 and the XT07 from New Frontier Armory, LLC? I did not want to email them until I was sure. Anyone specific I should ask for?

I was leaning towards the Streamlight TLR-2 for the M4 but did not like the remote switch as the Surefire's offers more features. With this pricing I could not pass up the offer.

    Thanks

Yes sir I got all from them I dont remember who I talked to but I think this is their regular pricing? If not just mention that I just got my stuff there and you want the same.

  18. 50 yards 8" groupe without a bench rest? if no bench rest thats good shooting in my opinion. 8"s will light up any ones chest even the skinnest of skinny.

did you use sling to steady the M4 or what was method?
