I have one like Tucker suggests and it's pretty good but I also have a better one (for me anyway).
http://www.aimshot.com/boresight.php
Buy the laser and then arbors of the different chambers. I have used it for .223, 243, 308 and 12 gauge. I've been amazed about how close I am at 50 yards. May have been luck, but when I last used it to bore sight a Swarvoski Z6i 1-6X on an AR I didn't even need to make a windage adjustment until confirming at 200 yards and then it was only 2-3 clicks.
perfect thankyou also

thankyou bro but that thing is a bit crazy and pricy

I need a boresight for my 12G, ar15 and .45ump
You guys have any recomendations on a universal one. I just need to get close then I will fine tune at range.

Thanks for the help Hookster. I didn't even think about the problem being with the OEM magazine tube barrel bracket and not the handguard. I guess the specs on the magazine tube bracket under the barrel varies since some people say they have fitting issues and some don't. Benelli probably doesn't see it as a problem since the factory handguards are unaffected by this slight size variation since they push against the spring washers inside the bracket and not the bracket itself. I bet most people don't always notice when the barrel isn't fully seated since it is such a small gap. The only reason I noticed is because the receiver area below the feedramp started to get worn and damaged from the shells hitting it instead of the feedramp. This only started happening after I installed the Surefire rail so upon closer inspection, I realized the barrel wasn't fully seated.
I need the Surefire rail for 922r compliance with my US made full length magazine tube and US made follower, so I took a file to the face of the under barrel magazine tube bracket. I slowly removed material from the face of the bracket constantly checking the fit to be sure I wouldn't remove too much and end up with a loose fitting Surefire rail. In the end, I probably removed about 1/32" of material and the barrel is now fully seated with the Surefire rail installed. I finished the bare steel with some cold blue and with the rail installed you can't even tell I filed the bracket. The factory handguards also still fit fine after all the filing.
To the people looking to install a Surefire or other rail system, I'm going to guess that if your Benelli M4 has about a 1/16" gap between the handguard lip and under barrel magazine tube bracket, at the bottom, then you shouldn't have any problems with installing a rail system. However, if the bottom hanguard lip edge is almost right up against the face of the under barrel magazine tube bracket, then you will probably need to do some filing to get a proper fit. If anyone with a Benelli M4 that didn't require modification to install their rail could confirm this by checking the gap between the factory handguards and face of the under barrel magazine tube bracket, let me know what you find.
Can you post a picture of what you are talking about and where you trimmed it please? I wish you would of did a before and after but oh well a after is good.

Have to say I think you're leaning in the right direction. The Benelli M4 would look perfect in that Urban Flecktran.
All of your work looks very professional. Ever think of doing this work as a sideline business? Would love to have mine in that pattern.
Ya number 4 was my second pick.
good call on the side jobs I think he has talent also if the gun looks like the picture. lol
-
I realy like the first urban camo paint looks perfect.
-
Hm, anyone gotten their tubes they ordered within the last month? Figured I'd order the rails after receiving the tube.
I ordered mine aug 21 he took money sept 17 but no tube yet. I am not worried though it will come.

Look at the MagPul XTMs or the LaRue Index Clips. I use the XTMs on my M4 with the same M80 setup and the Index Clips on piston ARs like LWRC where the XTMs need to be removed to access the piston area. The clips are lower profile. The both also sell ladders if you're really dead set on those.
I think Flat Dark Earth (FDE) might be a nice match, but why not get a couple of colors and make your own "Camo" pattern. I use the urban gray and black XTMs on my black M4. You could try FDE and maybe OD or black as a contrast. Just a thought to share.
not a bad idea but the camo version is very light. I need some light rail covers to do that
-
Why not stick with black covers? My mom told me black matches everything.
cuz I paid extra and searched for the camo version. Now all the parts I been putting on are black Cstock, surefire forend,x400 ect.the poor gun has been raped of its camo.
-
I have the surefire M80 on a desert camo M4 can any of you recomend a rail cover (ladder style) that will go with the colors of the M4. I got some that are dark brown and they dont look right I need some thing in the tan color. Everything I look up on the net is to hard to realy see the color.

Hey guys!
I got a collapsable stock coming in for my M4. I read on this forum along time ago about different options for mounting a sling on the stock itself, and now I cant find it. I dont believe the stock has a mount option for a sling itself like the factory civilian verson does.. What are you guys using for a sling mount? Pictures? Any help is welcomed
check mesa tac they have a cool sling mount that goes on the the Cstock
