Hello- I recently picked up a M1 S90 that is marked HK. I really like the gun. However, it had a hard time cycling field/target loads... which I expected. I know these guns like full power loads. However, after doing lots of reading here, I have come to the conclusion I have to go in and clean up/replace the recoil spring in the stock. I am sure it is nasty, as the entire gun was covered in goop from tip to tail, but after about an hour with a tooth brush, solvents and a good oiling everything went back together clean and running smooth. I didn't get into the recoil assmebly as it isn't covered in the manual. So here is my question, I plan on opening it up, cleaning out the assembly. However, I would like to have another spring on hand in case the one I pull out is boogered up or rusted out. That said: What brand (or model) spring do you recommend for increased reliabilty? I will shoot mostly shot, 00, and slugs... found in 3 gun comps. However, if I can find a spring that allows more reliability with some of the lighter target loads I'd be all over that as well. I have read about the Wolf 25% increased power spring, and there is another spring (stainless) that also seems popular (the name slips me now). Is there anything else to do while I am in there? Whats the major advantage of a stiffer web material? And as far as running a sling on a SG, to most people use the two point to "wrap" their forearm around and pull the gun in? Or is it a weight thing? I am curious and it sounds like there a lot of folks here with some good advice/experience. Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I haven't used this sling on my M1 yet, but I will as I don't care to buy/train on another system. I don't work behind a gun, I enjoy shooting and the occasional competition, it does work as shown on my AR platform. I can't see it being all that different on my M1, but time will tell. Thanks for pointing out the counter points to the sling. The more information people have the better.

Here is the sling I was refering to explained by Magpul's Chris Costa. Its just the first few minutes of this video. I have one on my AR and it is really easy to use and versitle.

This is one of the best options. I also think a sling loop between the stock and receiver with Magpuls new single/double point sling would be great as well. Thats my plan at least.

Can any tell me a little bit of the partnership and seperation of HK and Benelli. Just curious about the history of the two companies on this particular gun. I just picked up a M1 S90 this weekend marked with HK on the receiver, and it got me curious. So, do I have a HK or Benelli?

Hello- I am looking for a factory set of chokes for a M1 S90 nothing fancy just need an Improved and Modified and Cylinder for slugs and buckshot. Are there any retailers who have these sitting on the shelf somewhere? Please PM me with what you have and how much you want for them. FWIW, I know the Nova's fit this as well. I am sure someone has a set on the shelf after buying mulitple Benellis!
