When I plan to go sniper with my M4, I just use the QD mount and go iron sights, but the tritium will probably give away my position also to night vision. Heck! I'm still screwed...

She's a beast and has a great appetite. She also dances very well. I have been working on her for almost a year now to get her to where I feel she will serve me best. Some will say shes too much, but the trade off is well worth the extra #'s to me. Everything there has function and purpose, not just a tacticool look. Once Kip finishes his disconnecter, hammer, charge handle and follower. I'll be done.

Yes this is the MOD 2 the newest version. As for weight here we go: Total weapon weight = 13# 10oz " " " empty = 11# 9oz " " " factory empty = 8# 7oz " " " " loaded = 9# 4oz Top two are of my weapon with a factory c-stock, the bottom two are just for reference. My weapon holds a total of 20 rounds of 2 3/4" ammo with one of those rounds floated. The factory is 8 rounds with one of them floated.

John, it is the RMR 7 MOA Trijicon reflex optic, It is the best for me. I like the Aimpoint stuff, but this was way more compact, better field of view and lighter. The mount is a Q/D American Defense. They are the only ones kinda catering to the RMR right now without using an adapter plate. Great mount. I asked LaRue if they would make a mount and their answer was, were not sure if it (the optic) is going to catch on. I told him they were missing the boat. It is tough and bright in all variables of lighting. It does not wash out and is fast to acquire. Best of all, no batteries.

As you see it, it has a Sidearmor full length rail with 8 round sidesaddle, mounted on top is a Trijicon RMR 7moa reflex sight. The forend is a Surefire M80 with a LaRue vertical grip and Streamlight Tlr2 LED with laser. Attached to both sides of the M80 is a 2 round attachment from sidearmor. The shotgun has Kip's tube and spring, and will have the hammer, charge handle and disconnect as soon as they are available. Currently it has a GG&G charge handle and bolt release pad. The single point is no longer on the unit due to a change over to the C-stock and is now mounted back to a 2 point position. Many say it would be too heavy, I personally love it as it is. only downside is that it is $$$ to set up this way and will be even more $$$ as soon as Kip lets go of those new items...

I have tried and found most lasers are not up for the challenge. Most fail due to recoil. I happen to have a TLR2 LED w/ laser and it is the only one to hold up and keep accurate after several hundred rounds. I liked the Lasermax, but I'm on my third one and it has just failed on my Aug. So I am scratching the whole laser project and sticking to Streamlight.

Sidearmor all the way and eight plus+++ does not bother me. The weight is manageable for the trade off. This is for defense, not play, or three gun or??? I would rather have ammo when its needed. I just eat my Wheaties....

As far as I am concerned, the M80 was a great fit all but the little notch they should cut out for the lip at the base of the barrel maybe 1/16th of an inch on each side. This allows the top of the foregrip to fit tight to the rest of the barrel. But a few seconds with a razor blade and it fit fine. The M80 with a Streamlight tlr2 and LaRue vertical grip makes a nice combo. Notice it fits well with the Sidearmor rails, this was Hookster's idea, I just like the options to mount wherever the heck I want.

Padded blue force, works great and you can set it up 1 or 2 point. Mine is 2 point and mounted further back on the side armor mount with a QD.

Hey Kip, are these ready yet? also waiting for al the other goodies too. Where are you on those also? Just curious, I've been off reservation for 2 weeks and just trying to catch up...

Fantastic... Will these be in traditional Kip fashion and made from Ti? And my list on the gotta haves is getting longer and longer. Let's see, Ti bolt handle, follower, and now hammer and disconnect. Please for the love of God, tell me how much longer before I can sign away my life and empty my massive bank account for you Kip, please let me sign away, I can't take the pressure any more...;o)
