  1. 1) I have a customized factory stock that has a cheek riser for optics. I found the factory stock was great for the regular iron sights, but when optic were applied, I had to chin weld and did not like it. So I professionally modified the stock to be comfortable with optics on the rail. I have now installed a collapsible stock and no since in this sitting here. I am sure someone else could use it. Like new and will function on many different models besides the M4. The cheek riser has a tall rubber accessory also. Riser was $34.00 without modifications and install. $95.00 Shipped, 3% for Paypal Sold to Cleefurd... Heres the Riser web site. It shows the riser before the modifications. http://www.blackpowderbags.com/shotgun-cheek-pads.html Also have the factory dummy tube extension and limiter for $20.00 shipped. Sold to Tom
  2. As for the take down, it does not require removal of the rail. it is very simple and is an engineering wonder that it is rock solid when all together. As for the side saddle flying solo, I don't think he will. My ONLY issue is, with the 8 round sidesaddle, you have to remove this from the rail to remove the take down pin for the trigger pack. 2 hex screws and she's off, no big deal, but the same issue with many other makers of sidesaddle. Just to be clear, Not a problem considering the trade off. I'm not sure, but I think this is only the case on the 8 round unit.
  3. You will get what you pay for. Even the almost perfect Mesa Tactical units have their own flaw. The rubber they use to hold the shells in, deforms the round after a little time in the carrier. After loading in a semi auto, you will most likely have a malfunction. Not so much an issue on pump guns, but we are talking the M4. Only other thing I noticed is that sometimes from the recoil, the rounds would shift loose if you had them in the inverted position, which I like better than the overhand position. I had the Mesa units and have since replaced them with the Sidearmor.
  4. Yes, I answered the question... Sometimes getting the right answer comes better from the guy who designed and built the item you are interested in. I Just thought you may want to talk to him to get the best answers for anything else you may wounder about. Just saying...
  5. Now just a note, and again it is my professional opinion only. I have spent 20+ years teaching Law Enforcement and If someone showed up on my range with the elastic, super glued, hand stitched, and came with a set of matching dice to hang from your rear view mirror, POS, they would get one day to remove it, or, not qualify on my range. That simple. It is like someone coming to the range to qualify with their duty weapon out of a cheap Uncle Mikes holster. It just would not be happening on my range. I am sure these things are great for the pretend world of 3 gun matches, and many of the shooters there are fantastic competitors, but, if you can not depend as close to 100% as you possible on your equipment, then something needs to change. The design alone has many tactical, real life scenario issues. I do not like the the simple fact if this thing sits in a rack, in a vehicle, in the sun, how long before it looses it's super kung fu grip... Or better yet, stays attached to the side before the super duper wonder glue gives up the ghost and let's go. I Know my sidearmor will still be intact. I say again, I Know!!! I had the Mesa units and have since replaced them with the Sidearmor. If you are whining about the weight it adds, All I can say is eat some Wheaties man... It is a minimal compromise for the great benefit of rock solid security. Now that this is all said, I do not promote just any accessory that is the new wiz bang on the block. I have ran this thing through the works and let my underlings try to screw it up in the live fire house with the SWAT guy's. They love it, they ***** very little about the weight, but love the security and reliability. So It gets one of my very rare seal of approvals. The SWAT guy's I train are soon to get the same on their weapons. Thats all I have to say about that...
  6. No... It is specific to his equipment. That said, the grooves would most likely not line up or fit picatinny items very well if at all. Call Jeff, he's easy to talk to and he will answer all your questions.
  7. The ball detent holds the rounds better, and more options for the sidearmor. Forward picatinny, forward shell holders, rock solid. I had the Mesa side saddle and was not that impressed. Sidearmor Very impressive. Believe me, I did not want to spend that much money on a rail system and now I would not hesitate to put it on a second one if I decide to get one.
  8. Sidearmor hands down... Anything less and your just going to regret it. Jeff builds quality stuff and will back it up. Buy it now or buy it later wishing you bought it the first time.
  9. Thanks Hoockster, I saw their stuff, but I have a fella here who has the nut and I'm working a deal now... if I had to buy a barrel for that, I would just buy the gun . I almost bought another at the show last weekend for $1000.00, but I really had other plans for the money. Plus it was the camo and I really am not into that color scheme. Sincerely Your Supreme leader!!!
  10. Price change! Dave went down on his price so must I....
  11. $30.00 shipped priority... let me know...
  12. 1. I have a Dave's Metal Works Chromoly full length tube for a M4 up for grabs. Like new and works great. $50.00 Shipped priority mail. I have looked the tube over and since the paint is not perfect where the gas tubes vent and there is some carbon build up I'll let it go $50.00 shipped priority. The the tube is in perfect working order and all visible places on the tube look as it did from Dave's keeping in mind of the normal wear from disassembly and reassembly. Sold to Thom... 2. Also have the factory dummy tube extension and limiter for $25.00 shipped. Still available Postal MO or 3% for PayPal. Looking for a spare tube nut also, will trade...
  13. If we had worked together we could have had it for 311.00, Damn!!! Maybe next time...
  14. So your the one who out bid me! Guess I should thank you since the second chance offer was for my max bid of 385.00 I also guess if that is the case, there is no foul in the second chance offer because they have multiples to sell. Cool...
  15. Thats more like what I was thinking they were closer to. I was figuring about 185.00 wholesale, about 250.00+ retail in the real honest world of commerce. There is a photo of this chick, if it's really her, in her Ebay profile and I had to do a double take because she looks so much like my wife.
  16. Good, makes me feel even better... Does anyone know what the wholesale on these really are??? I know I am probably never going to find out, but I wanted to ask.
  17. I just did the same but for 385.00 shipped. Damn, what could the wholesale be that they can go that low? It was at 308.00 when I bid 385.00, then within a minuet I had the second chance offer as described before. Guess I should have bid 315.00 and hope they would have emailed me the offer then, huh? There was somebody doing the same with the surefire blades one time and it went on for about a week before they all disappeared and the seller was not to be found. Item was real and delivery was made, but??? makes you wonder.
  18. Yes.... I am.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sadism
