  1. I am going duck/goose hunting next month for the first time. I am not sure the answer to your question but I would be interested in know the answer as well. I am also in Texas (Houston). I have a Benelli M3 that I plan to take on the hunt. Right now I only have a 18.5" barrel but I have thought about getting the 26" barrel for hunting. It is just so pricey though. Will I be okay using the 18.5" barrel?
  2. If they made one for the supernova I'd be all over it.
  3. Lugie..I have an extra PG stock for my M3 that's never been installed. This will fit the m1. PM me if you're interested. Alex
  4. I own an M3 and I do not know of any interchangeability with any other barrels.
  5. Having open sights gives you more options and versatility with the gun. My M3 came with a 19.75" barrel with open sights. I can use the gun with a 26" barrel with a fiber optic front bead which doesn't line up with a rear ghost ring sight. A rear GRS would also interfere with a folding stock if I ever wanted to install one.
  6. Well I have noticed that a lot of smaller shops don't carry Benelli so it makes me think there is some truth to that...but I am quoting someone else so the OP should verify directly with Benelli.
  7. I've asked a dealer why he doesn't carry Benelli and he said it's because they require dealers to maintain $50k in Benelli inventory alone.
  8. Arnold holding a Benelli M3 folder in Eraser Another shot in the movie I believe the actual gun used in the movie went on sale on gunbroker earlier this year.
  9. HK..I am trying to find a part number for the adjustment tube. Do you know it or know where I can find it? Also, what is the part number for the collapsible stock?
  10. HK, are you still selling the collapsible stocks? Last year you were selling them for $295 shipped. I haven't called Benelli about the adjustment rod. Need to figure out if they will sell that to me.
  11. Is the SuperNova collapsible stock only available to law enforcement? It's in the 2012 catalog. I ask because I got this response from the customer service department: Me 'I would like to purchase a telescoping stock for the Benelli M3. However, I could not locate this item in the 2012 catalog. I am absolutely sure that this exists: Customer service rep You cannot purchase it..we are not allowed to import it or sell it to anyone but active duty law enforcement...ATF restrictions....sorry...
  12. I brought this subject up last week. How long has a collapsible stock been available for the supernova? Did Benelli redesign the supernova stock so it would have compatibility with the M3? I am curious to know why this compatibility hadn't been discovered earlier. Also, I didn't see a collapsible stock shown for the M3 in the Benelli 2012 catalog. I don't understand why they wouldn't advertise an M3 collapsible stock if there is compatibility. Heckler, where did you get that graphic from?
  13. Sorry I don't mean to derail this thread but it was mentioned that a SuperNova collapsible stock would fit a Benelli M3 in another thread that I started. Can anyone else verify that?
  14. Here are some pics I found: http://frankbaumer.com/Heartland%20Pictures/1_Pics/Benelli_M3_recoil_spring_tube.jpg http://i566.photobucket.com/albums/ss102/rlcurley/AR15shit012.jpg http://www.rem870.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/benelli_m3_modification2.jpg
  15. There is a dummy tube that is used as a stock bolt. The recoil is controlled by a spring around the mag tube.
  16. I was not aware that these were produced until watching this video. Has anyone ever heard of this or have any idea where I can find one?
  17. Yes the G35 is .40 caliber. I shoot factory 9mm rounds with my ported barrel (it is a conversion barrel) and it shoots great. Honestly, I don't know enough about shooting 45 caliber with a ported barrel because I don't own a 45. I do know that Glock makes a 21C which a factory ported barrel so conceptually it should not be a problem. Yes you're correct. The cutout was meant to reduce the weight of the gun. But if you can reduce recoil without affecting cycling then I'm all for porting the barrel. Glock even produces them as factory guns: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glock#9.C3.9719mm_Parabellum "The Glock 17C was introduced in 1996 and incorporated slots cut in the barrel and slide to compensate for muzzle rise and recoil. Many other Glock pistols now come with this option, all with a "C" suffix on the slide." http://remtek.com/arms/glock/model/40/24c/index.htm "As can be seen in the chart, the Glock 24Cs longer barrel provided increased muzzle velocities, ranging anywhere from 25 to 60 feet per second faster. Shooting the 24 and 22 side by side, I noted a big difference in muzzle flip with the Glock 24C. It was quite obvious that, the extra weight and vented barrel system do perform as claimed."
  18. Porting a gun will reduce recoil and prevent muzzle rise which ultimatley leads to more accuracy with your firearm. It accomplishes this by releasing gasses emitted through the ports. I have a Glock 35 which has a slide cut out on top. This allows for a ported barrell to be used that does not extend past the slide. The thing you have to be careful of is using low power ammo with ported barrels because your gun will not be able to cycle properly. With a 45 caliber weapon that shouldn't be a problem though.
  19. Another gunsmith that could make a similar 3 gun is Briley. They actually lost the bid to produce the Benelli M2 3 gun.
  20. I did buy one...I noticed you sold yours as well. Congrats.
