  1. Welcome, I just got a M4 on 12/31 and have been trying to gather enough ammo (slugs only at the range). I finally went out this morning and shot 40 rounds. Very nice gun, looking forward to this ammo supply bubble to break so I can get out more.

  2. Why ported? (just trying to learn) .... this was what I was planning on getting, extended but not ported.

EDIT: Oops ... just did a Google search on that subject, seems to be a touchy one with shooters :)

  3. TBD ..... My plan is to mount the X300 under the mag tube and the XT07 switch on the side (all on the Briley). If it doesn't feel right being that close to the light I'll try it on the BLAM4. But .... the BLAM4 is short, the XT07 will hang off each end I believe which is not as clean as I would like. Or mount the X300 on the BLAM4 and the XT07 on the Briley.

  4. I have the Modified in my M4. I was deferring to people smarter than I regarding the subject, specifically XTrooper in the following post:

"FWIW, if you're planning on doing a lot of slug shooting, it would probably be worthwhile for you replace the modified choke tube that your M4 came with with a cylinder bore tube. In my experience, slugs are "usually" more accurate when fired through a barrel with no restriction (cylinder bore). I have a Trulock cylinder bore tube in my M4."

Almost all my shooting will be at a range down the road where you can only use slugs for shot guns. None of those brands are available at BPS .... I'm not in that much of a hurry for one.

  5. I have been reading through posts here and I'm not putting together the info I'm reading. Someone (XTrooper) mentioned if you are running a lot of slugs through your gun (M4) use a less restrictive choke (cylinder bore).

In the manual, they are calling the choke with 5 notches "skeet" ... is this the least restrictive choke (cylinder bore) from Benelli for the M4?

  6. benelliwerkes: Thanks but your images aren't posting and the URL for them is being truncated so I can't even go look.

Can you copy the URL from the LaRue website here so I can go look at them there as apposed to a picture of yours (assuming that's what you are trying to do above)?

  7. $115 for the tape switch and tail cap. I have on order the Briley rail attachment and the plan is to install the X300-U on the bottom and the switch on the side. Was hoping the Briley rail was long enough to fit the entire switch. Since the light and switch will be so close I will probably have to do some cord mgmt. The EOTECH will go on the top built in rail and it's switch I believe is velcro and will attach to fore end.
