You probably have a M1014 barrel.
-
yup, because it pivots from the front.

Why not just email Benelli themselves?

The more I think about 922R, the more migraines I get?.

If the holes really bother your ocd, you need to 3D print or cut some out of plastic or brass.
Otherwise tap those holes and shove a screw in it.

I heard it was because the big names couldn’t compete with the quality (HK, sig, daewoo, etc) and price (norinco, izhmash, surplus etc) so they lobbied for import guns to be insanely butchered.
That way international companies had to comply with our fudd importation or open up factories here.

We have one member here named @StrangerDanger who is a FFL that does gunsmithing in your state.

Yes you can. We got one member here with rear and front sights removed. There's no screw threads. It is just a hole on the M4, so you would need plastic plugs.
Three little holes are not going to matter. Shotguns in general are terribly sealed.

Won't work. You need the factory or nordic components.

On the Brownells schematic and parts # listing the cap retaining pin and spring are the same on the M2, M4 and Super Black Eagle. No mention of a “sleeve”
(I still think the retaining pin is staked in place)
I concur.

Well, getting close to 1/2 a year and waiting on my 11721 M4! Hopefully not another 6 months!
Just build one.

The original M1014 sold to US had a different serial number that went up to 2500. I dunno when they hit the market as it was before my time.
They brought it back because it will sell like hotcakes. They even brought back the M1 Super 90 last year.

Because up until the latest M3, all prior ones had a pin that wasn't captured.
The M4 is suppose to be easy to field service. Kinda like M16 push pins are captured. If you lose parts, the gun can shoot. It is easier to lose the M3 (or M1, M2, etc) clip. Your regular M1014 isn't going to be taken apart all the time to put in parts; just disassemble and oil.
Even if you happen to break or lose the M4 clip, the gun can still be assemble and shot because of the captured pin.

Is it possible to swap out the M4's pin ring for a traditional c-clip pin ring like on the M3?
yes you can.

Dissident Arms makes one. The over sized lifter is to reduce thumb pinching; two different parts.

The olders ones aren't made like the riveted ones. you can interchange them.

I think that is a fair price. My very very first M3 looked exactly like that.

I have Starrett punches, Grace roll pin punches, Grace brass bunches, Whia and Borka torque tools.
I’d still like to get a set of dedicated screw drivers. The Wheeler set I have is cheesey and I usually use the Borka bits in it because they are much better quality.
That PB stuff looks pretty good. I think Grace makes a decent set of dedicated screw drivers but they aren’t cheap and not that many sizes in the set.
Huh learn something new. The Grace slotted screwdrivers are parallel tip just like some of the European brands.
Also when y’all decide on full screwdrivers, the handles are pretty important. I really like the Snap-on screwdriver handles, but the tips weren’t that great.
Probably just better for a person to invest in bits first because then you can put it in a torque screwdriver (for optics n’ stuff) and replace them when they get worn.

Hop on KCtool company. They have a ton of great brands.
The pb swiss is def overkill. Its just nicely finished and maybe just a tad better steel used. But you wont really notice it.

Brownells has a decent set of drivers with fixed handles and wood storage blocks. They even have brass name plates they custom make for you. Such as my daughter got me the set for one Father’s Day.
Brownells also has their Magnabit set which has a lot more bits. I bought four of their derlin organizers so I could spread out the collections of 1/4 bits and organize them a little better and add to the collection. The driver handle options Magnabit has are really nice. The bits will fit into torque drivers. Seekonk makes excellent dial indicator torque wrenches of various torque ranges in the 1/4 size. How is the quality on that screwdriver from the recoil reducer from Israel?

Ehh I've had a whole bunch of M3s in many configurations and the HK weren't that desirable to me and they suck to modify/do service on. Just because it has the HK mark, it will attract some collectors for certain.
I'd think $1000 or under for an older one is pretty fair when there isn't a panic. Most of the HK ones, I've paid between $700-$1300 for mine.

What is going of with these mounts anyways? Are they still being made?
