  1. Yes they shot loose I expected them to, under the rail when I removed it and the screw holes were very oily. I just removed a couple to install my new venom mount and so I’m going to clean them all up and put a tiny drop of purple loctite.
  2. Taking that stock apart and putting a QD plate on is a fun little project. I also installed a limbsaver recoil pad and stippled the grip. Just sayin'
  3. I ordered a field stock from MGW a few years ago and remember being confused also about that note on their description. The stock did come complete of course. I returned it because it looked used somehow, and reordered another from benelli parts.net. Good luck with your order I love the field stock on my gun.
  4. Yes they will. What I used
  5. From what I've read of others installing this wood stock is that the bolt that is supplied with it is the incorrect thread pitch; it comes with an M8x1.25 and the benelli threads on the extension tube cap are fine thread M8x1.00. I tried beforehand using that same bolt when I got my wood set in and sure enough it did not want to go in even a full turn. There are some who have ran a die down it and cleaned it up to work however I went out and picked up an M8-1x60. It sounds like you may have cross threaded the receiver tube cap? Perhaps then when you tried backing the bolt out is why the cap came out with it. The Turkinelli stock attaches in the same fashion as the Mesa Urbino and there have been a few in the past that have loctited their mesa stock bolts (they were loosening) into the receiver cap, and found themselves in the same situtation. If I am right. I don't think there is any good outcome to this if you have indeed crossed things and the bolt and cap are now stuck inside the stock. Besides a new stock and reciever cap. For that matter though I do hope I'm wrong and you've had some luck getting things back apart since your post.
  6. Any more luck getting them to go in? I had to work mine into place with a little elbow grease
  7. For what it’s worth I did not have to on my set, that tongue and groove fitted fine. The grain on your hand guard looks very nice, better than what I got
  8. No. The hand guards just needed a little finesse; I didn’t want to crack them somehow as they were a little tight but got them in NP. The bolt that came with the stock surely didn’t thread in, I don’t have a metric die set and so based on what they’re saying on Reddit, went and picked up an m8x1.00 fine thread and that works fine for now. I’ve ordered a die and will chase the socket head grade bolt it came with and try that again. The gun really does feel lighter now and more comfortable naturally from the wood. That is compared to and for those who run the factory hand guards and field stock. I suppose without the sling plate and internal hardware in the factory stock that accounts for some of it. I plan on putting a limbsaver on also. If I were to nitpick at all, the exposed front edges of the walnut hand guards are unfinished and could use a little oil. The wood grip where it meets the receiver is not perfectly flush and slightly bulging in some spots, like only a 1/16” or so and I can live with that. edit; next to some good ole fashioned American walnut, I think it looks great
  9. Thanks fellas, the wood is definitely more comfortable @John P. thanks for the post ! I’m ordering another set and making these the beaters lol
  10. I was planning on putting them on just for a photo op, and then stashing away with the other extra benelli parts. If the hand guards fit as tight as a couple posts on the other board mentioned, I won’t be forcing them in. Sounds like they may need a bit of fitting work beforehand. Also as far as the stock and its Urbino styled attachment, that sort of makes it less appealing to me now. Just my own .02; I don’t like how the mesa stocks bolt up. Esp now if you have to chase threads or change bolts, adding washers etc. whatever not like that’s a lot of work but I wouldn’t want to shoot it installed that way and am leery of maybe boogering-up my receiver extension threads. Anyway don’t mind me, I’m just a little bored and anxiously waiting for my order to be delivered. They do look quite nice and as said previously, for $70 you can’t go wrong. - Debbie downer out -
  11. I ordered a set too. Fingers crossed they fit okay and look decent
  12. Ironic perhaps willing to spend so much for that but won’t admit they’re the one whomever bought it
  13. You’re looking for a Briley trigger
  14. Sheesh just reading this now, glad I got mine back when I did. It was in my parts box too and went back on today lol.
  15. I second this. Awesome work, stupid quick turn around and just a really great dude to deal with. Very innovative in his designs ! His “dragon scales” makes my bad ass shotty look even more slick. Thanks Niko!
  16. I’ve gone through a few to find one I like best so now I have a collection of 5 of them altogether including the stocker. The 3/4” knurled steel version is what I keep on there and it looks bad ass too IMO.
  17. I regret not getting a full stipple to begin with. I plan on buying a new set of OEM hand guards and doing it over again top to bottom this time with a new pattern; his dragon scales texture looks pretty trick.
  18. I've always wanted to cut mine down too I just never gave it a shot. https://www.ar15.com/forums/armory/-/1-236766/?page=1
  19. I have a tango stippled field stock and while they’re great people to work with, that one does look a bit better. I also wish I had just gone full stipple on my hand guard. I only did the bottom half. Nice work !
  20. Maybe you can send them this photo to help clear up the difference. Or re order from another vendor.
