Loading port pics, please! ? I've been printing out a couple of your previous ones. My local smith will do the port modification for me.
He said we could draw up a sketch so he could see what I'm looking for. I figured I'd print some pics and do one better.
I know he is going to start breaking the edges with a ball ended end mill. Hopefully, he finishes it up by hand. They always do pretty good work.
Quick question on the forearm stippling. I have thought of getting this done through TTI or something.
I like the look of the Tango stippling. I'm confused about the selections on their website.
If you purchase from them (forearm) they offer two stippling options, classic and full. However, when you supply your own parts it seems you get the default stippling (whatever that may be). Also, it shows forearm and complete forearm. Is "forearm" one side and "complete" both sides?

Robar will plate titanium, they just won’t warranty the work. Never had an issue with the plating on any titanium parts.
Excellent. Good to know. Thanks!

Sorry, if I missed this In your prior posts. How do you get the CC mag tube to match the NP3? Robar mentions Titanium can’t be NP3’d.
Is finished titanium a pretty close match? Or, do you go with a cerakote?

Interesting you mentioned the Channelocks I was looking at those..

Lol. I have snap ring pliers but the nose(s) was too large to get in between the little cut out in the ring end. I guess I need to junk those and get a better pair.
My mini pair of needle nose got the job done. I was able to get in there and spread the ring enough to slip it over.

Thanks SD! Glad to know they are shipping promptly.
Thanks for the heads up about the washer. Common sense would dictate that it's no longer needed. I didn't see this mentioned any place by A&S.
Not a huge deal but sometimes I need to confirm things to reassure myself.
-
For those that have the A&S do you use the washer for the lifter plunger and spring?
It would seem that because of the A&S design it would no longer be needed. There is no longer a recessed cut for the washer.

Never mind, got it. Wow, that was ridiculous.

I’ve been thinking about pulling the trigger on their enhanced trigger frame.
Does anyone know if they ship promptly?
Are they really in stock if the sight states so?
-
Are the rear sight, front sight protector and rail getting NP3’d also?
Or, will they stay OEM or possibly satin black Roguard?

I heard that the 5 rd tubes come with the same spring as the 7 rd tubes. If this is true I wonder if snipping a few could would help?

I could only fit 4 Federal LE OO buck with wad control. Extremely disappointed since I bought some bulk.
Same for me with the S&B. These shells seemed really long. Shot fine though.

I’m no expert but wow! That looks like a lot based on photos I’ve seen of others.

Funny you mention Robar. I’ve had them do Glock work and NP3+ some rifle components in the past. They do great work.
I’m looking at the Poly-T2 because of the color variety. I remember reading that they can’t apply Armor Lube to aluminum.
My concern is having to totally disassemble the M4. I’m confident that I can do it but I have no idea what the torque specs are for the top rail screws, receiver extension etc.
Although I don’t do 3 gun it might be nice to open up the loading port a small amount.

Does anyone have suggestions for black touch up? I have a little scratch on my M4 receiver and it bugging the hell out of me.

The 1/2" FFT Steel.

Does anyone have an extra FFT Steel C.H. laying around?

Thanks Tim.

I know it auto loads the shotgun. Does the J-Kenny also aid with getting rounds in the tube like an extended type lifter?

This J-Kenny Auto Loading Lifter does sound quite interesting, but it leaves me a little bit confused about what manual features it overrides with the Benelli M4. I read their product page on their website, but the info leaves me with more questions and confusion.
Does the Auto Loading Lifter not allow the chamber to be clear, the bolt closed and a full magazine tube? What I mean by that is ... I really like that I can chamber my first round and upon racking the charging handle, I can quickly & easily clear the chamber without it automatically ejecting a round from the magazine and allow the bolt to close with an empty chamber. This is where I am left a bit confused as to what this part will disable and/or alter in the way of 'normal' functionality.
I think it would be a really good idea for that company to make a thorough video showing two Benelli M4s side by side and demonstrating the original/normal functions vs how it functions using the Auto Loading Lifter.
Good question. I didn't even think of that.
