  1. I'm still a bit of a noob to shotguns.  Is there a reason that they don't make auto-loading standard on factory shotguns?

S.R. mentioned the A5 has it.  I don't get it.  Safety concerns?

  2. To me the J-Kenny seems better because you don't have to modify the trigger housing.

However, they say they accomplish this by using a "unique combination" of springs.  This makes me a little leery.

I just think if they introduce more springs, more to go wrong?

It's not clear if these are additional springs to their proprietary lifter or if they just replace OEM with "unique" springs.

  3. Wow!  I think I’ll sell it.  It’s never been fielded.  Lol.  I didn’t know that this was such a huge issue.

I also agree that the design is poor when it comes to mounting.  A definite cost/model savings move for sure.

I wonder why Mil/Leo would even entertain these.

Anyone know if there is a plug and play limb saver for the PG oem stock?

I might go back to that.  I’d love to shave an 1 1/2” off it.

  4. I got it.  It fits uncomfortably tight.

I didn’t want to force it but I was able to remove and reinstall the trigger housing. Very tricky.  So far I don’t feel warm and fuzzy about this product.

  5. I was reading the instructions again.  They say to install the trigger housing before installing the stock.

Don’t tell me I have to break out a screw driver and remove the stock every-time I want to take the housing out.

  6. Has anyone had challenges with the fit of their Urbino stock on their M4?

Its not the stock material behind the trigger guard.  There is plenty of room and a small gap there.

It seems like I can’t slide the trigger housing back far enough.  The little retaining tab on the back of the housing doesn’t appear to seat in the stock where the recess is.

Its been nothing but a headache with this stock.  The first one the grip was moderately damaged.  I exchanged it.  This new one is better but still a small amount of grip damage.  Now the fit problems.

With a TTI reduced power hammer spring I had several light primer strikes (FTF) using Fed or Win cheap bird shot (about 100 rounds).  This was several years ago.  I also installed the FFT trigger package (trig, hammer, dis-connector) at the same time.  I went back to the OEM spring.  I did like the pull with the TTI spring - definitely reduced weight.  Felt good, but the occasional lack of a bang made it a no-go for me.

I just notice that FFT uses Wolf springs...I wonder if they are better than TTI's springs.  Anyone?

Thanks for sharing.  That’s exactly why I’m trying to “take the temperature” .

I am also curious about the FFT springs.

It’s interesting to gauge how many use springs other than oem.

  8. You might be right.  The idea popped in my head when I dug up an old thread.  Somebody used heat shrink tubing on theirs.

Unfortunatlley, the pics are no longer active.  I would have liked to see how it looked.

Mine is ordered so I haven't seen it; but from the above, and the advice of an instructor who I think ran it - the $80 mounting plate is Remington; but the $20 shell-holding part is straight Velcro. I believe you buy 2" 4' velcro strips off of Amazon to stick to the gun, and you velcro the Vang $20 part on.

That explains it, thanks.  I was looking at the whole assembly for $79.00 or whatever it was.  I thought sheesh they have it figured out.

  10. Sorry, it’s been a little crazy at work.  There is a little bump or roll where the stock meets the back of the receiver.

Its hardly noticeable once it’s installed.

    i was thinking $115 shipped.
