No, the color is fine. Just a small spot I noticed. Idk maybe something with the mold? Most people probably wouldn’t even notice it.

I have a new take off field stock. It looks like it has a slight factory blend but otherwise new. I can send you some pics if your interested.

Was looking for a picture of the CC charging handle on the interwebs but came up empty handed.

Would plating one of these hammers negatively effect the surface hardness?
I’m assuming they would probably sand blast it prior.
It seems most people like to mix this hammer in with FFT trigger components.

I like some of their products, but others are poorly conceived in my opinion.
The TTI shell elevators
These are great. I can't tell a difference between the TTI and the FFT unit. They do work well for loading quicker and less pickle fork thumb bite.
The TTI Stainless Bolt Handle
Many people hate these, but I've never had an issue with them? Others have claimed they have been able to over insert the bolt handle into the carrier. I've never experienced this.
The TTI lightened spring kit
This caused nothing but light firing pin strikes when I installed them.
The TTI oversized bolt release
I didn't really like this product. The pad bolts to the outer face of the factory bolt release. Since the bolt release actually pivots to function, you'll notice the forward part of the pad is sticking out pretty far from the receiver. You just added a snag hazard. Drilling and tapping is beyond the skill level of the average owner, making it difficult to install.
The TTI oversized safety
These were okay, but I prefer the DMW design.
The TTI custom package
No experience with this. Never heard of anyone with one either. I'd like to try one of the lightened bolt carriers, but not at the package price point.
Great insight, thanks.
I too saw the installation for the TTI bolt release. I can pull off the install no problem. My concern is the way it fastens to the factory bolt release. It seems like a lot of pressure and torque put on that little screw.
Can anyone recommend solid options for a different oversized bolt release and a trigger spring kit?
Any experiences with the trigger group on Benelliparts.net? It looks like a good value at $199 being NP3+ plated. I wonder if this was an OEM trigger group that was plates here. I think technically it would then be product of the USA.

The OEM aluminum frames remind me of old Colt AR15 receivers. They’re rough, loads of flashing that was never filed off. Pitting everywhere from impurities in the aluminum.
I have ave never seen any issues with a polymer trigger frame. They’re a little lighter than the aluminum model too. I personally carry polymer framed guns on duty and for concealed carry. They’re striker fired evil too! Fewer problems with them in my experience than hammer guns. Fewer wait a minutes.
Having said that, the A&S frames are the best. I don’t use the ramp either. I just want a smooth functioning trigger platform that can be plated.
Do you have the A&S NP3+ plated?

I don't see much buzz on here about TTI. All hype?
I've heard a few snarky comments about their charging handles. Any merit?
I like that lightened bolt carrier.
-
A&S frowned upon some?
-
Are the aluminum OEM's preferred over the polymer?
-
Dumb question. Which came first the aluminum trigger guard or polymer? The M4 that I just picked up has a polymer unit.
I see Midwest sells the stripped aluminum module.

Oh well, message sent

Great testimonials. I may place an order with carriercomp then. It looks like they are available on the website.

Thanks guys. I may eventually go to the Mesa Tactical Urbino. I’m going to hold off for now because I’m afraid it might be too short.

The color match is better on the carriercomp tubes. Carriercomp tunes are cheaper. FFT often has wait times lately too.
Thanks for the insight. I’ll have to give it consideration. In the past I haven’t had very good luck with the durability of cerakote.
It would be nice if CC offered a tube without the spring upgrade. I have other plans for that.
i like the idea of the OEM Benelli tube but the weight savings of Titanium is attractive. Not to mention it counts as a 922r part.

All you needed to do (and it sounds like you still should) was carefully sand or file off some material from the curved portion of the stock that butts up to the rear and follows the contour of the trigger guard. The stocks are a moulded item and as such more often than not, they require a little fitting in this area in order to gain enough clearance room for the trigger housing to drop in. Rounds down range won't help the situation.
Thanks for the feed back. Yes, I’ve done some light sanding with fine sandpaper. I’ll probably do a bit more tonight and it should be perfect.
i wish I thought of it earlier. I was fiddling with it for an hour before I figured out the issue.
i probably installed and removed the trigger group 30 times!
-
I like carrier comps price better but I am not a fan of cerakote finishes.
Which tube do most people prefer?
-
So, after an hour of hand fitting the stock (on off, on off, on off etc.) it's on. Definitely, tight but I bet it will loosen up after I put a few rounds through.
What was I reading about Benelli's being built so precisely?? ?

Loosen a bit more, or better yet remove the stock, then install the trigger group and its pins. Now reattach the stock. (The stock is impeding the trigger groups from seating into place where the trigger housing contacts the stock)
I'll take a look. I don't think the stock will fully seat with the group installed. I believe a tab on group locks the stock in place.
-
The choke that came with mine appears to be Improved Modified 2 notches?
-
I removed the standard stock and installed the pistol grip stock in it's place.
After countless attempts I still can't get the trigger group back in. The holes do not line up in the receiver and I can't get the take down pin in.
It's not off by much. It appears that the trigger group isn't far back enough into the stock assembly.
I've given it some gentle taps, raps but I don't want to beat on it.
I have also tried adjusting the stock and backing it off a revolution or two. I was hoping it might allow the t-group to slide back a bit further.
No luck!

Maybe I need to tighten/adjust the snap ring in front of the sling plate?

Not sure about the sling but the mark on the pin is to help you put it back together. The mark goes towards the front of the bcg.
Thanks for the explanation. I figured it was meant to be. I have a few high end rifles and one has an odd cut out on the bolt face etc.
On another forum people post about this bolt and they panic that it's messed up. We all get a chuckle because once every 4-6 months somebody will post a bolt picture.

I got my first M4 today! I just finished the basic out of the box assembly and I have a couple questions.
1.) My front sling plate has a lot of play, it wiggles. Is this normal?
2.) The bolt "cam like" pin (part #12 in manual page 162) has a small line cut partially in the top. I assume this is normal as this does not appear to be a defect.

Isn't the TTI one a "spinner"? ?
I heard that people have had them snap off in competitions. Not sure if that's fact or fiction. Perhaps a run with poor heat treat?
