Good to have confirmation!! I have not yet taken mine apart. Still waiting for the Mesa Urbino stock to show up.

Wow, that looks great, SD!!! A real jewel of M4 goodness.

If the purpose is HD, then I'd highly suggest multiple day trips to familiarize yourself with the gun and to practice with different loads. Since it's never been shot, clean it (again, to familiarize) and clean it between trips. If you're not going to hunt with it, you can go ahead and remove the plug. As truckcop says "Being responsible also includes being competent in running it."

Benelli M4 - Taking advantage of great lighting

Awesome. Did you consider NP3 for the pistons or is that just a bad idea? I can tell my new Benelli adventure is gonna be fun ?! -
Benelli M4 - Taking advantage of great lighting

Very nice piece of machinery you have there, SD. It would be interesting to see what the internals look like after 2500 rounds in 2 years. Difficult to remove the gas pistons or disassemble the bolt? -
The cut away on the bottom of the receiver for quick loading is pretty dang aggressive.

That NP3 finish is purrrrdy!

RPC and SD, Thank you very much!!!! Mesa Urbino stock on its way.

RPC, Yes, Ca compliant fixed stock.

Thanks for your replies! I am able to press the button (maybe not all the way?) but unable to rotate the stock to the right (or left).

Hey Guys, I am new to this forum. Recently purchased a limited edition m4 with fixed skeleton stock. I am considering switching to something like the mesa urbino pistol grip stock for shorter LOP or going with the Benelli non-pistol grip stock. What is the procedure for removing the lower part of the stock from the fixed recoil tube? Is this the same design/assy as the collapsable stock? When I press the button it wiggles but does not come off. The M4 is replacing a Benelli Nova, hence my silly noob questions. Thank you in advance.
