  1. Welcome! A lot of great information on this forum.
  2. Hey PR, Please post a picture of your set up.
  3. Out if the box, the front sight was totally loose.
  4. My 1014 came w luminescent front but the rear site is not. Yeah it really glows bright but not for long. I'm looking for the luminescent rear.
  5. LB, Definitely a considerable difference between the stock trigger and Briley match trigger (very smooth feel on the lighter pull and crisp break). Although it's appropriate to say, I had no complaints about the factory Benelli trigger. Seeing all the cool builds from various members on the forum, I decided to go with A&S trigger guard with the idea I would eventually install it w the stock trigger/lifter with US parts swapped in consideration of 922R. About a month later, I was on a call w Briley to inquire about opening the loading port but of course, one thing lead to another and another.....
  6. Have patience, my friend. It's well worth the wait. I waited ~10weeks for my Benelli to come home from Briley. I was told that it was going to take quite a while and they could not initially give me even a rough time estimate. I called after 8 weeks and was told it was going to be a while longer but that I had moved further in the queue. I turned my attention to a couple other firearm projects and was actually surprised when I was notified of the return shipment.
  7. I just did this a couple weeks back on my M1014 and it was a lot easier than I had expected. Didn't take long with the heat gun and the jam nut slowly started turning. Same with the recoil tube. Assembly was easy and had no issues. Had I not seen SD's instructions and various forum posts on the subject, I would likely not have given it a try.
  8. I would guess that if you like the SRO on your pistol, that it will be preferred on your shot gun as well (??).
  9. I wonder how many were shipped? Maybe the mystery blue edition will become a collector.
  10. I used blue Loctite just to make it easier if I ever decide to switch to a different tube such as the Briley carbon fiber. Red Loctite for the recoil tube and lock nut per SD's instructions.
  11. I had a look at my Mesa Urbino stock. No idea what would cause the gap.
  12. The gap is bigger at the bottom. Is there interference with the trigger housing?
  13. When I had the Mesa stock on my 1014, there was no gap except behind the trigger guard. Can you post a close up picture? Can't see the gap you're referring to.
  14. Latest evolution of my M1014: Carrier Comp Ti mag tube ceracoated midnight bronze (they coated the 3 position recoil tube as well). Briley match trigger and loading port work TTI lifter GG&G Charging Handle GG&G Bolt Release Scalarworks Mount Trijicon SRO Daves metalworks safety IWC light/sling mounts Stippeled fore grips by Tango BF vickers sling
  15. When I first started researching the M4 a few years back, I honestly thought the collapsable stock looked odd. Last Feb, I came across a M1014 US flag model w fixed collapsable stock at Sportsmans warehouse. Once I started seeing the various forum member builds and comments about the middle position being right length of pull in combination w RMR and Scalerworks mount, etc etc, I've slowly been moving in that direction. Finally, I have accumulated the parts and I am all set up to switch out neutered recoil tube w the 3 position. A shout out to SD for his extensive photo essay tutorials and advice/postings from various forum members! I'll post pictures.

    My new M4

Welcome, Kaiser! You will find a TON of great information, advice and opinions on this forum....
  17. FYI, to order the 3-position recoil tube from Midwest, gotta be LEO/military. I ordered from Benelliparts.com who had em in stock at the time.
