  1. It is! I like the black on black but this green is a nice shade. It just doesn't go with anything else on the gun though, so I was thinking about returning it

When did you put your order in at CC? LOL I'm invoice # 0000008775. Would you do me a favor an give me a heads up as soon as you get a call for payment, so I can ballpark my order ?

It's been about a month now. I spoke with Marcy a few weeks ago and she said that they were almost done with the bach before mine, so within three weeks I should see it. That would put me near the second week of June, so hopefully that is still the case.

  3. You have quite a search ahead of you. I managed to find one through a private seller on CalGuns, so I'd suggest starting there.

After the stock I'm sure you'll be looking for the 7 round tube next. Once I get my Carrier Comp titanium tube in the next two weeks I'd be willing to give you my OEM 7 round tube for a good price, if you want to go that way. NBD if not, I don't mind hanging onto it.

Now that one looks good, less weight as well!

I ended up buying a spare card then mounting it to my gun. While I like it because it's so low profile, I am having a hard time justifying why I need the extra weight. Plus I sorta prefer the look of the gun without it on there.

Yes, I know but unfortunately I don't have my M4 in hand right now.  It's getting some work done.  LOL

    Oh I see. I'm assuming it's with a gunsmith?
If so can you just ask them to send you a photo of it? I'm assuming the stock may already be off for whatever reason.

  6. Geissele is where I started and am very happy that I did. For my Sig handguns, I have GrayGuns flat triggers installed. I'd like to have a full trigger job done to both but they are regular carry guns and I don't want to mess with the trigger more than necessary.

  7. Appreciate the suggestion! I used to shoot trap with my 725 Citori so I'll probably avoid taking the M4 out there, but the SBE3 would do a good job. Plus give me some tracking practice for when I eventually go duck hunting with it.

I'll probably use those loads for plinking around though. They generally destroy a soda bottle pretty well haha

Did you hear anything back from Marcy or Kip as to where our batch stands, I believe we ordered both of our the first week of May.

Yup. I spoke with Marcy on the 14th and she expects our batch to be out within four weeks. They try to allow three weeks per batch to be safe, but it hasn't been taking that long.

She said they were about a week away from releasing the batch before ours, so It should be about done by now. Mid-June is looking like when we'll see it.

  9. Hey all, this is my first time really using a shotgun for "plinking" and I was wondering what, if any, types of ammunition you prefer. I picked up a decent amount Federal of 2 3/4" slugs and buckshot but I'm looking for shells that aren't quite as expensive. Main targets will be paper and AR500 plates. And the occasional two liter soda bottle.

    Thank you for your suggestions!

So just got the Wolff spring in, and installed it a few minutes ago.  I was able to get 7   2 3/4  shells in, without modifying (cutting) the spring.  I measured the length of the spring from the end of the mag tube to the remaining portion of the spring and it measured right at 11".  Thanks for your help with this one!!!

I'm glad to hear that it went smoother for you! Let's see some pictures when you're done.

As I mentioned on my post above, I just used the velcro loop portion with adhesive on the receiver and called it good to go -- like you suggested here.  I have not removed the portion from the receiver but from older posts on this topic, I doubt there would be a problem.  Good news is, the velcro on the receiver hasn't shown any signs of peeling off.

Perfect! I'll head to the hardware store to get some strong backing. Brownell's shipps pretty fast so I'll most likely have it before the end of the week.

It's funny you should mention that.. I literally JUST ordered it before coming back to check this page. It doesn't look like they have a mounting option for the M4 yet, but I figure I can just get some industrial strength velcro then attach it to the receiver. The M4 is anodized aluminum so I would be very surprised if the glue on the velcro backing did any damage.

I tried a bunch of them and found I hate them.
    1. Made the shotgun very uncomfortable when slung.
    2. Added quite a bit of weight which slows down how fast you can swing the barrel from target to target.
    3. Requires the use of the cherry picking method for loading one round at a time vs. belt mounted speed loaders where you can grab and stuff 2,3,4 shells at a time depending on skills and hand size.
    4. Can limit other accessories. Such as if you’re stuck using their top rail replacement. I do have concerns about mounting pounds of accessories which are attached by five tiny top rail screws. Any impacts to the the mount is going to be transferred to those screws.

The only one I kind of liked was the Mesa one for the buttstock. It only works with the pistol grip and Standard stocks. It is a real PITA to install for the average user since it replace the sling plate. Having the weight at the rear of the shotgun was less of an issue.

If I had to have shells on the receiver, I’d use one of the Velcro type.

I’m not normally in favor of side saddles for all of the reasons you mentioned above but I’m open to trying a Velcro version. Any idea where to find the one I mentioned above?

  14. I shot mine last week for the first time and I was very surprised at how well the recoil is managed. I was running high brass magnum slugs that have always been painful to shoot but when I put them through the M4, I hardly felt anything.

thanks, have had a 870 tactical for a few years, got my m4 6 months ago ,it's just a joy to shoot and i'm 66 years old.. and have a range in my backyard.. live in the woods of northern wisconsin.

They’re great, aren’t they? Plus you get to enjoy it in a great setting. I’m a little jealous! Post some photos of your range please!

  16. So it looks like I might have been premature with ordering that OEM 7 round tube. Spoke with Marcy at CC yesterday and she told me they are about a week away from finishing the batch before mine, so I'll most likely see the tube early to mid-June.

If I were to take it off then repackage it with the CC Wolff spring and CC 922R follower, what could I get for it? Paid $200, so hopefully I won't lose too much.
