  1. Okay, cool. PM me then we'll work it out.

Well this is an issue with any limbsaver pad, unfortunately. To get the c-stock fully collapsed you need to drill out a 7/8" hole through the plastic pad. I wouldn't recommend doing that with an AirTech though, as you're going to rupture the air cavity that provides the cushion and reduce its effectiveness. Also, the Airtech pad is larger than the c-stock so it would hang off each side by almost a 1/4".

If you want to put a limbsaver pad on the c-stock, you/ll need pad #10403.

Do you want just the button or the button with the pre tapped shell stop?  I have the button (with screw) if you want to tap your existing shell stop.  Yours for $20 shipped within the CONUS.

Perfect! I was looking into these and I can't justify paying $120 when all they did was machine a mm or two off of the existing button shaft.
I've got a buddy who works in a local machine shop who will do it for free, so I might as well go that route. I'll PM ya with my info.

Do you know which number fits the regular stock?

    Yes. It's 10180.
If you're going to buy one, don't go spend $40+ tax. I have a brand new one that I bought thinking it would fit the c-stock, only to find out it does not.
Shoot me a PM if you decide to go that route then I'll be able to save you some cash.

Those paddle bits are going to try to walk on you in a hand drill. The Forester bit will do the same, but not as bad. You might have better luck with the hole saw bit since it drills the center hole out first to hold the bit centered.

Even putting grease on the end of the receiver extension should transfer to the buttpad fairly well. I find the Sharpie to be the easiest though.

Seems you got the philips bit sorted. You definitely don’t want to use a magnabit type driver. It’ll get stuck in the rubber hole.

I was afraid of that. Eh, I guess I'll just splurge on a set of Forester bits then.

Has anyone installed the Limbsaver AirTech Precision-fit pad yet?

Unfortunately there is not an AirTech pad that will fit the collapsible stock.
It will, however, fit on the standard and field stocks.

Below items are my soft rankings based on my experience of the benefits and cost (low to high):

    1. GG&G Bolt release (currently out of stock).

    2.  TTI Shell Lift/Carrier.

    3.  Scalarworks SYNCH Mount -- Replaces your pic rail (saves a little weight) and co-witness your RMR and ghost ring sight.

    4.  Oversized Safety.

    5.  LimbSaver Butt Pad -- Honestly I didn't feel the same reduction in recoil that others have, but I've been told I have no feelings!.

    6.  Open Up the Loading Port -- Briley does this and so does Stranger Danger.

    7.  NP3 Coating on all the internal parts.

    8.  Spare Parts Kit -- FFT has these in-stock.  They aren't cheap ($176) and can include things that you may already have seconds of (trigger springs) and items you may not need but it's worth considering.  There is also a discussion on here that talked about commonly needed (carried) spares -- worth taking a look.  A better idea might be to build your Oops Bag-O-Spares by ordering individual parts from Numrich.  Again, not cheap!   Once GG&G gets their modified bolt releases back in stock I'm going to get another as as spare.

    Just some thoughts!

Thanks for the list! Since my original post I installed a limbsaver and a DMT oversized safety. Currently looking for a GG&G bolt release and am considering the TTI shell lifter. Haven't gotten bitten though, so that mod may be put on the backburner. As for the SYNCH mount, I had a chance to get a brand new one for $70 shipped a few weeks ago but I passed, as I that would make the sight too low for me with the collapsable stock.

FFT trigger group appears to have much, much better machining.  Some people have reported fitment issues with the polymer trigger guards.

I was one of those people. A quick upgrade to the A&S frame fixed that though.

sweet! Was it worth the wait?

Absolutely. The finish is as near perfect as I think it can get, and the tube itself is amazing. Super light, perfect threads.
It looks amazing on the gun.

@StrangerDanger Do you know if the factory screw is loctited or something? Having a hell of a time unscrewing it and worried about stripping the head.

No, it should not have loctite on it. Do you have the right sized screwdriver head for the bolt in there?
Just turn slow while pushing firmly on the screwdriver then it should come right out.

Heck yea! I just got an email from CC saying that it "shipped" too. I couldn't find a tracking number though.  Did you get a tracking number, or does it come later?

I reached out to Kip directly and he emailed me this morning.

  10. You’re assuming a lot of things about me. And who said anything about complaining about usage marks? My last tactical shotgun was thrown off of a four wheeler on a stone driveway simply because I wanted to give it some more character. This M4 will be shot until it falls apart.
I’m asking for parts recommendations because I’m sure folks here have done things to their guns that I haven’t thought of. Plus I have the money to do it, so if I want to hang doo-dads off of my gun, I will.

  11. I have an SBE3 and have not found any issues. There isn't a problem with the gun; it's designed to shoot like that. Just have to change where you place the bead. I haven't had any problems with it shooting high or off center. Really fun to shoot, I'd recommend you pick one up.
