  1. Sorry, guess I should have mentioned it; Noveske Bazooka Green.
  2. Welcome! My advice is to take one, spray some oil in it, take it to the range and run a box or two of shells through it. The other? Sell to me...
  3. Here's my M4 Cerakoted. Briley handguard, Briley safety, A&S trigger guard, M60 sling, Surefire light, Match saver, custom charging handle (from BK02) Trijicon red dot and Scalarworks mount (from Alpha33). Thanks y'all! Apologies for the pics, I have NO beautiful scenery.
  4. Have you gone to Cerakote and looked at their myriad selection of colors? Each color has examples of what it looks like on various pieces, it's a simple website to navigate. What's your favorite color? Are you trying to match a particular environment? Do you want a single color or a multi-color pattern? Personally I went with a single color. If I want to camo it I can get inexpensive latex paint and color it on. It won't last forever but it's easily removable allowing me to change at will depending on my mood and the season. All things to think about and only you can decide for yourself; hope this helps.
  5. I have one but in FDE, I shot ~50 shells with it, at least mine was tight without using stabilizing screws (YMMV). I've since replaced it with a Briley handguard.
  6. AMMOLAND has a write up on the M4. I don't think there's any "new" information to be gleaned but it's fun to see a beloved in the news! https://www.ammoland.com/2021/11/the-benelli-m4-the-marines-fighting-shotgun/
  7. I am on your list for a black one as of today, I like a selection of charging handles.
  8. I've never tried the round pad but I really like the GG&G. It's wide enough to not miss even under stress and has a more positive feel on release than the OEM probably because it sits higher; they're often sold out.
  9. Wish I'd have been there, I have some solid gold shells with platinum slugs that I've been looking for just the RIGHT gun to put them through...
  10. GG&G has their bolt release pads for all Benelli "M" models back in stock. I have the M4 pad installed on my shotgun and it works wonderfully, just an FYI.
  11. Nice family foto! I should do that sometime. I guess my rarest scattergun is the Baker "Batavia Special" made before 1919. I've never shot it though, I'm afraid of cracking that 100+ year old wood. 20" bbl, it was a working coach gun; I asked it if it ever blasted anyone but I got no answer.
  12. I've shot a few boxes of it and M4 eats it right up. It's good stuff from Italy, unfortunately only 6 will fit in the tube, otherwise it primo!
  13. I inspected several random boxes I have, all shells were smooth as a baby's bottom. IDK about yours, maybe they got caught in the cabbage shredder/borscht maker.
  14. What mag-fed are you running? I have a couple, Vepr 12 never fails, Kalash... not so much
  15. That's a good question! I prefer a 5 round card, any larger and it seems to interfere with my grip. However, a 7 round card fits perfectly in a 30 round ar15 mag carrier. Carrying extra loaded cards is a good idea. You can pull off the empty card and slap on a loaded one in 2 seconds, empty, they lay flat too.
  16. Yes they're trying to make a buck and yes, there's a distinct possibility it will fit as they've stated. If it were me I'd just keep the standard stock as long as the LOP was correct for me. IMO the only real advantage to the pistol grip is shooting across your chest not shouldered, very limited use. There is a tacticool factor to a pistol grip but it also increases the height of the gun considerabily; your M4 as is will fit in a scabbard easily. Just my 2 cents, YMMV.
  17. Depends on what you want Mr. Whiplash. There's all manner of pouches; I have a chest rig with elastic that holds 25 but it's slow. I REALLY want an Invictus 3-gun belt, it's pricey but really the only thing keeping me from it is the belt attachments and the differences between them. I need to study them because I want to dual and quad load well.
  18. Interesting, I shot 7 boxes with zero failures. I didn't notice any burred edges but I'm not the brightest crayon in the box so I may have missed it. I'll try some in a Vepr 12 I have but its never failed either. Maybe that's what the reviewer meant by "inconsistent". I'm going to start a database of actual calipered shell lengths of different brands. I REALLY want 7 shells in the tube!
  19. My local Academy Sports had Fetter 00 buck on sale so I bought a few boxes, I had never heard of them. They were shorter so I was able to get 7 in the tube of my M4 which is nice. I was just reading they're made in Russia, are inconsistent and dirty. I shot over 100, they all went bang, patterened nicely and shot cleanly. A lot less expensive than other shells and 7 in a tube is a winner in my book. Anybody else ever tried these?
  20. I installed the rectangular gg&g release on mine. I like it a lot and seems to have a more positive release than the oem. The hardest part was aligning the spring with my fat fingers, finally I settled on holding it with hemostats and it went right in place.
  21. That is a sweet looking stock, I'd almost prefer that over the adjustable stock I have, it certainly looks sturdier.
  22. I like that ranger green, I'd get one but I already have an M60 sling on mine.
