CARLSONS - BERETTA/BENELLI TACTICAL BREECHER MUZZLE BRAKE
StreetSweeper56 replied to Kyuss's topic in Benelli
I have one in CYL as well and I agree, it does help with muzzle climb, I would not advise grabbing the end of my barrel either, it's wicked sharp. I put a couple loops of gray teflon plumbers tape on the threads over choke grease, it isn't coming off unless I want it off. -
Pew pew tactical had an interesting article dealing with the M1-3 and the M4. It explained, in a short read, the inertia and gas systems and why I need to get an M3. Probably common knowledge to some but I found it enlightening. https://www.pewpewtactical.com/best-benelli-semiauto-shotgun-m2-m3-m4/?utm_campaign=Email+838+-+Benelli+%2B+News+%2B+Vertx+%2B+Picture&utm_medium=email&utm_source=drip

Titanium/Steel Locking Charging Handle Cerekote Black
StreetSweeper56 replied to RxArms's topic in Benelli
Sorry bk02, I just saw this; no, yours works fine! I'm the sort that likes to have spares, especially of parts that are removable and may fly off and get lost when I need them most; some call it paranoia. -
I was talking about weight, not recoil.

An M1 Garand weighs 9.5 lbs and was humped across Europe and the Pacific theaters by teenagers. For me, it's about choices, my configuration would be different if I was night hunting predators on the property, taking an 8 hour shotgun class, or kept bedside at night. Weight isn't always my only consideration.

Benelli M4 -- Mesa Tactical Truckee 15" Rail Review
StreetSweeper56 replied to StrangerDanger's topic in Benelli
Well written, informative review; do you anticipate any blast affect on the light having it mounted that far forward? I opted to mount my light underneath to, like you, avoid barrel shadow but it does need a bit of a shim to raise the beam up on target, still thinking it through. -
Vortex are always highly rated and not terribly pricey. Much as I hate to say it, reviews on Amazon are usually pretty helpful.

That's ridiculous.

I like that 2 round forward shell holder, like a matchsaverz dual. https://markprecisiondesign.com/product/forward-shell-holder-2-round/
-
I use A-zoom, they seem to work fine and they are CLEARLY not live rounds.

Looks good!

For Sale Benelli M4 H20 Fully built with tons of extras.
StreetSweeper56 replied to OB1102's topic in Benelli
I'd love to snatch this up but, right now, I'm scared what I'm going to owe in taxes and don't want to over extend myself. If you still have it in a month or two let me know. -
Whats the best m lok handguard for the benelli m4?
StreetSweeper56 replied to Anon4755's topic in Benelli
Depending on the fore end they also act as a heat shield, the Briley especially, wraps nearly all the way around the barrel. I have, on mine, a quick-release sling mount, a light and a pressure pad for it, but the heat shielding is what I originally got it for. -
Let us know how it goes!
-
99% certain those will run reliably but I have not run that EXACT brand.
-
I have a Briley fore end on my M4 but I have a couple of Mossberg's with heat shields as pictured. The problem with them IMO is they are a pain to get off to oil the barrel and I always worry about rust forming under them that I wouldn't notice. I solved that problem for me by Cerakoting those guns. The Briley is a much better option than a standard heat shield and it is fairly easy to remove using no tools. It does nearly enclose the entire barrel so heat isn't a problem.
-
Have you tried screwing on the mag tube cap? On mine, the tolerances are so tight that is the only way I can get mine to seat fully.
-
Yes, it does make sense after watching the vids, thanks Don!
-
$95! That is one pricey sling!
-
Darn good question, wondered that myself but I just went with it.
-
I run mine as much underneath as I can to avoid "barrel shadow" with a pressure pad so I don't have to fumble searching for the on button. YMMV
