  1. Honestly I want to see if they have a "G" ring that size. I'll buy a big bag, call them tactical and charge $22 each! ?
  2. It's like I always say, "none of us is as good as all of us!"
  3. Totally understand, dang 30 minute lunch... at least we know it exists.
  4. I KNEW IT! LOL! Fastenal has everything! I'll see if they have a "G" fastener that fits, if so I'll let everyone know the part number or if someone beats me to it let us all know!
  5. Thanks, I am aware they have those in stock for $22, MGW is $5. Not that I can't afford it, I just think their price is excessive.
  6. Awesome, thanks Doge! I'm amazed it doesn't conform to standard, why would they do that? I might try asking Fastenal if they have anything. I'm hoping I can get mine off without damage... but I'd still like to have a backup jic, so I'll wait till MGW has them in stock, I REALLY don't want to pay $25 for one. Would sure be nice if Regal included them in their recoil tubes.
  7. In lieu of the flexible ring for the recoil tube is there a reason why you could not use an, easier to remove, snap ring? I have also seen flex rings shaped like a "G" that would be far easier to work with. MGW is out of the flex rings and it looks like a bear to get out anyway. Does anyone know the dimensions of the OEM ring? Thanks!
  8. Easy way to check, remove the bolt holding the side saddle and replace it with the OEM retaining pin. My guess is that will, in fact, fix the problem.
  9. Regal Metal Works has their 6 position recoil tube now available in case anyone is interested but there are only 4 left from this batch. https://regalmetalworks.com/product/benelli-m4-m1014-6-position-recoil-tube-new-release/
  10. I guess I'm asking if there's any real value in it and what that might be besides looking good
  11. Anybody have a Briley match trigger installed on their M4? Thoughts?
  12. I got one with teeth because I read a retired judge say his years on the bench taught him a shotgun was the most fought over home defense weapon, which makes sense. Who ever grabs the end of my gun is going to feel the teeth.
  13. Sounds very expensive and it really doesn't look THAT bad. Personally, I'd just let it be... that's the way you got the gun and the bumps are just a part of its history. Who's to say it won't happen again in 20 years anyway.
  14. I have one too and they really work well. Different size mirrors for different calibers were ~$20 and the box it comes even doubles as a storage case.
  15. None that I know of here, m-lok won't fit. I'd ask the dealer where you got the guns there.
  16. It's important to select a choke tube with little to no constriction. That's why a cylinder or improved cylinder choke is ideal for use with slugs. These types of chokes have a large enough diameter to shoot slugs without damaging the shotgun barrel or causing harm to the person firing. Don't shoot ANYTHING through a threaded barrel without a choke in it, yes it will damage the threads.
  17. True, the gun barrel contains the combustion, not the brass. I've seen rifle cartridges explode from heat, the brass splits, the bullet doesn't go far.
  18. Almost certainly a shell issue, try some different, new shells.
  19. I have several guns Cerakoted including my M4, scroll to "not quite finished" for pics. It's practically indestructable, there is a youtube video of them Cerakoting a metal sheet then shooting it with a slug. The metal dents severely but the coating does not crack. The finish will outlive us all.
  20. This has brought up a rather interesting (for me) search. It appears they have the same charge but in the shell on the right much of it is exposed. I wondered, "will that cause problems?" This lead to "what does the brass actually do?" And apparently, the answer is, not much other than give the extractor something to latch onto. Anyone with more knowledge than me care to weigh in?
  21. Oh I agree, they'll fit 7 to a tube so I have a lot but I was just loading up some velcro side saddles, opened another box and noticed the difference. Looks like the same amount of charge; just odd.
  22. Lol! 2 different lots of Fetter ammo, maybe this is what reviews meant when they said, "inconsistent". Look at the difference in brass size! Wow, I'll still shoot them but still...
