Omaha Outdoors has 3 flavors in stock. If you want a LE or other model you can ask to be placed on a list to be notified when in-stock or just keep checking back, they'll get some in. https://www.omahaoutdoors.com/benelli-m4/

Any opinions on Midwest Industries M4 MLOK Rail
StreetSweeper56 replied to chris1280's topic in Benelli
The Briley fore end doesn't require screws to hold it in place, it covers the pistons and acts as a heatshield as well. It does add some weight but I'm not humping it over the Afghan mountains either. -
If I'm going to a range and taking more than 1 gun I will take my gun cart. It'll hold up to 4 guns plus ammo and etc. This is a pic from their website but mine looks like this. Sorry, I don't have a photo of mine.

Heat shield mod looks good tho, the whole gun looks great, welcome!

There are 2 on gunbroker.

Unobtanium is correct, your performance is about what you should expect from buckshot at 25 yds, that's 75 feet, longer than most direct sight lines in a house (Vanderbilt mansion excluded). A scattergun is an upclose firearm. The M4 is a great combat shotgun but it isn't a miracle worker.

I would love to be the test shooter and find out! Shooting down drones sounds like A LOT of fun! In the Army we had styro planes flying at us a few times. I hit one with a .50 cal once. Knocked that right out of the air.

Looks quite a bit like the short Briley forend to me.

If you find a source, lemme know!

The M4 has a fairly long receiver that will easily accommodate a 7 round card which is what I use. I've never had the need to remove the wool from the receiver but I can't imagine doing so would cause damage.
-
I have a loop of paracord I put between the handle and receiver to get out really stubborn ones if needed. Without the knurling they can be slippery and hard to grasp, the paracord works great.

Not all though, I bought a RealAVID multi-tip driver set (highly recommend BTW) last year. The handle has a light in it which did not work in mine. I called, told them and they sent me a replacement, no charge no questions asked. They let me keep the defective one as well, they've got my business for life.

Yes, you are right, my mistake, it is aluminum. My remedy remains; a little shoe polish and call it good. I wouldn't sweat it too much, guns get bumps and dings. Sure looks like the gun was standing on its end and something (another gun?) fell over on it causing the scratch then the dent.
-
I'm gonna be in the minority here and say it doesn't look that bad. It's plastic not bluing so it's just cosmetic, rub a little shoe polish on it. It's gonna get dinged with use, honestly, you should have spotted it when you picked it up and Benelli has no way of knowing you didn't do it. "Those aren't scars, they're beauty marks", I'd just keep it.

Don't use pliers! Make a loop of paracord, insert a part of it under the handle grip and pull it out.

Here was his post: I’d take the magazine tube apart and clean it well inside. Do not apply oil inside the magazine tube at all. I’d recommend making a polishing jig for the magazine tube. I put a 12 gauge cleaning rod in my drill gun, then wrap fine steel wool around a 12 gauge chamber brush. Then go to town up and down the inside of the magazine tube for 5 minutes. Clean out the residue and admire the mirror finished magazine tube. Note the difference in sound once you reinstall the spring and follower. The magazine spring won’t be fighting the resistance inside the magazine tube as much so that it can deliver more of the spring energy to loading shells onto the elevator. This is particularly important when it is the last round or two being loaded from the magazine. The polishing can be done on steel, titanium or even the Briley carbon fiber magazine tubes. And here was the removal tutorial: https://forums.benelliusa.com/topic/17395-benelli-m4-magazine-tube-removal-pictorial/#comment-116591

Check their profile, everyone regular poster here has integrity. I have bought several things off forums, including here. What >I< do is send payment thru regular paypal, (that way I am covered) and ask the seller to send me their charge receipt, then send another payment F&F for that amount. That way I am covered just in case and the seller does not have fees. No one I've ever bought from has had a problem with that arrangement.

It shouldn't be as difficult to load the magazine as you're describing, neither of mine are, something isn't right. There may be fouling or who knows what in there. Stranger Danger (one of the resident geniuses here) has a whole tutorial on removing the mag spring and polishing the inner tube mirror smooth. Try a search here and you should be able to find it. Try that and I'll bet that solves your problem.

Welcome to our shotgun addiction! Glad you came, you've made 2 very wise decisions.

Benelli m4 Cold Testing...and lessons learned
StreetSweeper56 replied to Unobtanium's topic in Benelli
BR Field Balm is great stuff, to bad they can no longer make it. I did however pick up a few bottles of it when they notified me of its imminent demise so I should be set. Anyone who wants some should get it now before it's all gone. -
Black Aces "double aught" shoots just fine out of my M4's, never had a problem.
