Benelli M3 ?'s on Pistol Grip Stock & Tube Xtension

I heard it is legal to have both pistol grip stock & tube extension on a M3, Is this true?

 

Does the law makers understand the difference of a pistol grip stock(like a handgun) and pistol grip stock(that includes the shoulder rest ; ei like Benelli #11606)?

Which one are they outlawing?

I understand this was featured in a ban on imported firearms circa 1989 but I don't remember all the specifics.

I am positive there was something BEFORE the AWB ever took effect as it kept me from getting a M3 folder like I wanted because the prices skyrocketed after the ban went into effect.

It is true now! I just bought an M3 with the pistol grip, mag ext., and ghost ring sights. Local shop was selling them like hotcakes now that the ban is lifted.
