MontefeltroPro
Guys, it just seems weird to me that the Benelli/Berreta line has such fine top-line guns but underneath has all of these problematic guns that we hear about much too repeatedly on the forum. The Stoeger, Franchi, etc., lines are occupying way too much space on the forum reporting problem after problem... many of which are apparently "unfixable" and the guns are receiving so many very negative reviews... bolts flying off and cracking stocks, etc. And no apparent effort to fix the problems. This is NOT a good reflection on the fine quality that we see with the top-line guns. Go figure why they would want to continue in this fashion. Your thoughts? Hope the new Vinci doesn't catch the Stoeger/Franchi flu!
mudhen
Your thoughts? You just have to know more about the history of these acquisitions Beretta Holdings acquired Stoeger for one reason, to control them after certain patents expired. There was an article in an NRA magazine a few years ago where BH's attorneys admitted that it was far cheaper to just buy Stoeger than to fight them in court over patent issues. Don't know much about Franky though, I think Beretta has been involved with them way before the official acquisition.
MontefeltroPro
Enlightening. Thanks. Wonder what Tucker and some of the other forum "Gurus" know about this?
Novaking
Doesn't just about every manufacture have a ''junk" company? I think all about market. Some people can't afford ''high end'' shotguns or they don't use there shotguns as much as others. So stoeger answers that. Weather they do it right or not, is another story. Just my 2 cents

It's like saying "why not make them all Cadillacs? Then you wouldn't have any Saturns!" It doesn't really work like that ... different brands for different market segments and target audiences. Plus lots of other reasons.
cksh8me
If you want to be a Benelli dealer they make you buy the cheap brands. Most of the ones at the gun store I frequent are donated to what ever club is having an awards banquet.
