I'vew seen them for every type of gun but what exactly is a turkey barrel? Is it just longer or is there something different inside the barrel?

Turkey barrels are shorter, most of the time in camo, and the gun or barrel is drilled and tapped for a scope. Other than that, nothing.

Some turkey barrels have adjustable sights so you can move the POI around to suit your shooting style.

 

Funny thing about short barrels, while they are great for moving around in tight cover, shorter barrels usually throw a less dense pattern than longer barrels, even with the tight turkey chokes.

turkey barrels are short... and tapped. thats about all. some may come with special sights.. but they are nothing special if you ask me.. of course im a long barrel kinda guy.. psstt.. patterns better in my experience

alright so sounds like my 28 inch barrel would make a good enough turkey gun. I have a turkey choke with it i just seen all these turkey barrels out there i didn't know if it would be worth the money spending it on them or not.
