Waylon
are my standard factory chokes, CRIO CHOKES? If not why the **** arn't they? [ 07-23-2005, 11:40 PM: Message edited by: Waylon ]
tucker301
factory SBEII chokes are Crio chokes to go with your Crio barrel.
sdkidaho
To go with your Crio treated barrel, yes they are Crio chokes, they just aren't "extended" Crio chokes. Yeah, what Tucker said.
Waylon
Are these chokes as horrible as everyone says? Will a cheap aftermarket extended choke outperform the factory chokes i have? If so why doesn't benelli release the "mack Daddy" extended crio chokes?
tucker301
I have had no problems with the factory chokes. They pattern as well as any factory choke I've ever shot.
mudhen
Yes, they are horrible, the pellets just fall out of the barrel. You must have extended chokes to kill anything past 5 yards.... What does functionality have to do with anything?..... mudhen - CA [ 07-25-2005, 12:28 PM: Message edited by: mudhen ]

mudhen
I would put the non-Crio choke in the freezer before every trip out It appears Benelli and other choke makers use the name 'Crio' to designate certain chokes. The name Crio appears to refer to the Beretta Optima choke system, and the name Crio Plus appears to refer to the Beretta Optima Plus system. Remeber that Beretta Optima Plus guns like the Xtrema are overbored and Benellis are not. Therefore you need to select your chokes based on constriction not the common choke name. mudhen - CA
