Amsdorf Posted July 26, 2012 Author Posted July 26, 2012 Come on guys, no love for the video? Took me quite a while. Quote
Huff64 Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 Great video Paul. I will be using it when I fieldstrip & clean my M4. is there a video for installing the Mesa Urbino stock like yours. I just ordered one and also the GG&G charge handle. Quote
BilleeDee Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 Good walk through but you need a mag extension or a full length tube imo. I prefer mil-tec for lube but congrats on the vid. Quote
Amsdorf Posted July 27, 2012 Author Posted July 27, 2012 Huff, no, but I can make one. It's really no big deal at all. Getting the factory stock off was a bit of a trick, but a rubber mallet and I was good to go. I have some time off work for several days, so I'll try cranking one out. Great video Paul. Amsdorf Posted July 27, 2012 Author Posted July 27, 2012 Full length is on the way from Kip. : ) Quote
Guest cleefurd Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 WOW! Do you have any more videos? Do you approve of links being posted from other sites? Nicely done. Lot of views already. Much Love for the video. How difficult is it to edit with captions etc? Basic or hi-end camera? Thanks Paul Quote
Amsdorf Posted July 27, 2012 Author Posted July 27, 2012 Cleefurd: Yes, quite a few more vidoes, at: http://www.youtube.com/ptmccain Not sure what you mean by "links being posted from other sites" Once you know how to use your camera and editing software it is not really hard, as much as simply time consuming. There is the time for editing the video and sound and so forth, then the time to process the video, then the time required to upload it to YouTube. I use a "prosumer" HD camera which does a really nice job. It's a fun hobby. Quote
Huff64 Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 Paul you rock I am new to shotguns and after watching your videos i see that i was handling the M4 incorrectly. I now push forward with the forarm and pull back on the pistol grip when firing. my shoulder isnt killing me at all with 00 buck or slugs and my grouping is superb. I probably dont even need the Mesa Urbino stock that i ordered now *sigh* but ill install it anyway. Keep up the great work on those videos. Quote
Amsdorf Posted July 27, 2012 Author Posted July 27, 2012 Yup, that does help, doesn't it? I have to say the M4's kick is considerably less brutal than a pump shotgun. You'll like the Mesa stock. Quote
Huff64 Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 It turns out the the Urbino stock is on back order so im canceling the order monday. at least my GG&G charge handle is still on it's way. Quote
Amsdorf Posted July 29, 2012 Author Posted July 29, 2012 Did you try ordering on Amazon? http://www.amazon.com/Mesa-Urbino-Tact-Stock-Kit/dp/B0058P1QWI/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1343587199&sr=8-3&keywords=mesa+urbino Quote

Hookster Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 at least my GG&G charge handle is still on it's way. Hi Huff, Here's some food for thought.... http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/show...handle+problem Sorry if I'm ruining your weekend. Just want you to see that particular option from all sides Later, Hookster Quote
Huff64 Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 that was 3 years ago and if im not wrong Amsdorf has one on his M4 and we all know he fires the crap out of his with no issues. Quote

Amsdorf Posted September 17, 2012 Author Posted September 17, 2012 Actually, I replaced my GG&G with a CC knob, doesn't spin as much, and I like the ergonomics/size better. Quote
jaegerbataillon511 Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Thats fine, looks like the CC one is machined to the original that won`t spin and its smaller. Quote
KB Fab Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Thats fine, looks like the CC one is machined to the original that won`t spin and its smaller. Actually, the CC handle will spin as does the stock handle. The difference is, it spins much less because of the ball detent located in the bolt. The CC and stock handles have three equally spaced notches that mate with the detent and while they are not true spinning handles, they will rotate with moderate force. Quote
jaegerbataillon511 Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 I know, it seems GG&G has no notches and will spin slippery like a wheel during operation. Quote
Amsdorf Posted September 17, 2012 Author Posted September 17, 2012 Definitely spins a lot less than GG&G, and for me, makes ghost loading easier as a result. Quote
Amsdorf Posted September 19, 2012 Author Posted September 19, 2012 Paul I just used your extremely helpfull video for my 1st field strip / cleaning. thank you so much. Keep up the great work Glad to hear it helped. Quote
