Mr.M4 Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 I saw a few years ago the picatinny rails on m4's weren't the best but don't see any recent mention of this and noticed carrier comp no longer sells their replacement. Have the rails been improved? Quote
StrangerDanger Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Current production rails are the same as the original -- Crap. Carriercomp has stopped production of everything except Magazine tubes due to the scare. Later on, they may resume production. FFT indicates that they have a replacement rail for sale. It looks pretty similar to the carriercomp model. It would probably hold up just as well. http://freedomfightertactical.com/products-page/replacement-rail/ Quote
XTrooper Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 I "killed two birds with one stone" by getting a Mesa Tactical shotshell carrier for my M4 which incorporates an integral Picatinny rail in its design. Quote
truckcop Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 I've got the Sidearmor quick detach short rail system on mine. It too has the "sidesaddle" but that part is detachable. It is very well built and so far I have had no issues with it. Quote
