M4-Desert Camo Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Hey guys, how does the surefire M80 install? Is it two pieces or do you fit it in with the barrel pulled out a bit? Also, what are the preferred rail covers for the unused sections? Quote
StrangerDanger Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 The thinner the rail covers the better. LaRue Index clips work well. The rail is an assembled one piece unit. With the barrel removed, you insert one Argo piston, then pull the rubber of the rail on the opposite side out to allow the other piston to push in. Metal tabs fit into both the front and rear handguard retainers. Quote

M4-Desert Camo Posted February 4, 2013 Author Posted February 4, 2013 Thanks all ... I'm hoping not to have to use a M80, don't want to keep taking Camo parts off my M4. Once my SureFire XT07 switch arrives I'll know if I have enough room on my Briley mag mount. I don't want the edges of the switch hanging off the rail ends. Quote
