TypeA
I will need at least 300 rounds of birdshot; that's one of the requirements. Don't know a lot about birdshot, so is NobleSport any good? Its pretty cheap, but before I buy that much of it, I'd like to know if its reliable or if I should stick to one of the US, better known manufacturers. Thanks http://www.ammunitiontogo.com/product_info.php/pName/25rds-12-gauge-nobelsport-hunting-2-34-3-14-dram-1-18-oz-7-12-shot-ammo/cName/12-gauge-birdshot
BLACK
I cannot comment on Noble- however stay away from Winchester Universal. It is well known that their quality has really tanked in recent years. Ironically the M4 is the one thing that runs it
TypeA
Leaning towards just sticking with Federal (link) but still interested to hear your opinions.
Vertigofirearms
These work well, and depending where you find it, affordable
RoadDad
These work well, and depending where you find it, affordable +1. I've never had an issue with them and the local Walmart carries them for $23 for the box.
TypeA
Yep; going to stick with the Federal Top Gun #8; same specs as that Multi-Purpose Field & target; this is what I shot this past weekend; good load.
HopetonBrown
Whatever you bring, make sure you shoot a bunch out of your gun first to make sure they cycle reliably.
tactical1
Good advise by HopetonBrown - make sure it works well, check how it patterns, try different chokes, etc. You have already invested in the funds for the class, a bit more on quality ammo will be one thing less to worry about during the class.
