Juliett Whiskey Posted September 28, 2020 Posted September 28, 2020 Hello all.. brand new M4 owner, heck, brand new shotgun owner. A few questions for the experts.. 1, is it ok to dry fire an M4? 2, is it ok to drop the charging handle/slide via the button release.. kinda slams forward, which I like, but will this hurt anything? And lastly, are dummy rounds ok to use for training? Thx in advance everyone!! Juliett Whiskey!! Quote
NCswamp13 Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 I'm definitely not an expert but I've own an m4 for about 6yrs and I would say yes to all those questions. The only guns I dont dry fire are rim fires, dummy rounds are excellent for malfunction training and the bolt release is there to be used. Enjoy your new shotgun! Quote
Juliett Whiskey Posted September 30, 2020 Author Posted September 30, 2020 Much thanks. Breaking her in today! Quote
Juliett Whiskey Posted September 30, 2020 Author Posted September 30, 2020 Wow! Simply wow! Straight outa the box and she handled about 50 light loads, bird shot and about 10 #5’s.. not one hiccup! One happy camper here! Does anyone know if you change out the magazine tube ( mine is 5+1, looking to get a 7+1) will this void the warranty? Thx in advance.. JW Quote
marktaba85 Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 ole benelli is meant to be abused! that's is why everyone wants them and has agencies have them in their arsenal Quote
electric7 Posted October 5, 2020 Posted October 5, 2020 Hey Juliett, wanted to mention I have found a lot of oil in the mag tube from the factory. Would be worthwhile to get in there and clean that out. Quote
