Jaason0
Does anyone know why some M4 H20s have a darker looking bolt and black trigger guard , while others are trigger guards are gray and the bolt looks lighter too?

StrangerDanger
Top one is an actual NP3 plated model. So many of the internal components were plated. Benelli also photoshopped a lot of the original NP3 releases. They never plated the aluminum trigger frame or collapsible stock body or top rail if I recall. StrangerDanger
Correct, you'll have the black polymer trigger frame and a black bolt carrier.

If you use the search function for H2O you'll find a lot of useful and informative posts on the differences, including several by Stranger Danger. If you wanted the bolt carrier to closely match you could disassemble the carrier and the receiver and send it to get NP3 coated. You'll get a marked improvement in performance as well as the cosmetic enhancement. These two are what I'd consider the 2 most important operationally to get coated, imho of course
