Whiskeydog
Hi Folks, I've fallen into the rabbit hole of modifying my newly acquired M4 and I'm wondering besides the titanium magazine tube and dropping the iron sights, what other option are there for reducing weight? Thanks!
StrangerDanger
You can go with a carbon fiber magazine tube instead of titanium and cut a few more ounces. You can install a titanium choke to cut a fraction of an ounce off. Deleting the iron sights will shave about 4 ounces. That’s about all the weight you can trim. Avoiding packing on the weight elsewhere helps.

Increase your arm and shoulder strength so the modest weight issues of the M4 are more than compensated by strength and endurance
Wreckless
Make up some lightweight slugs will save you more weight since the lead payload in the shells adds up quick.
