magazine tube upgraded, squeaky noisy spring

Just did the upgrade, but, man, is that spring noisy in there, (Wolf one). I oiled it a bit, along with the follower...is this common and how long will it last?

Have yet to take to the range, been busy with work!!

From what I understand, you're not supposed to oil the magazine tube, or follower. I run my M2 and M4 with a dry tube and they work just fine. No spring noise that I can detect.

You won’t notice the noise when you are shooting.

I'd suggest shooting it and see if it quiets down.  Swap springs back and see if the noise goes away. Give the mag tube, spring and follower and good cleaning. Meant to be run w/o lube.

The spring tends to squeak when inserting rounds into the magazine. I would not recommend oil on the inside of the tube, followed or spring. The lubricant will collect dirt, fouling and buffering media and cause the magazine to perform poorly. Sometimes this is the cause of the magazine to fail loading the last round from the tube. 
 

I made a polishing jig where I run steel wool in a modified drill chuck or off the lathe to polish the interior of the tube. While it does help with the noise, it never completely goes away.
