zz3l4b Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 Has anyone noticed their SBE front bead is off center? I reached out to Benelli for a replacement bead and they said that they could not guarantee that I would get one that wasn't off center again. I'm wondering if this is the root cause to my gun shooting 2" to the left at 21 yards. Quote
remarkable Posted December 27, 2021 Posted December 27, 2021 I have had very good customer acceptance with the Performance Shop front site: Quote
zz3l4b Posted December 27, 2021 Author Posted December 27, 2021 One would think that the original sights for this $1,500 gun would be of better quality, and I would not be required to purchase replacement sights from the Benelli Performance Shop to rectify this situation. The Benelli website states: "Benelli's renowned reliability, exceptional quality and forward-thinking innovation set us apart. Every firearm we make demonstrates a commitment to superior technology and craftsmanship that has propelled us to the forefront of the shooting industry." Quote
Fullassault Posted December 27, 2021 Posted December 27, 2021 I get that it’s not perfect and it would definitely mess with your ocd but you have to ask the question “is it really going to make that much difference on a shotgun” and the most important question “does it shoot where you point it”? 2 Quote
zz3l4b Posted December 27, 2021 Author Posted December 27, 2021 Right know I'm stuck with a gun that shoots 80/20 and 4" to the left looking straight down the barrel with the "D" shims installed. Benelli attempted to adjust the POI without any success. I guess I'm reaching at this point. Quote
Ben elLes Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 2” at 21 yards 4” at 42 yards? Or did it got worse since the original post? Spread seems like it would be wide at that range but I’m not a hunter so what do I know. Quote
zz3l4b Posted December 28, 2021 Author Posted December 28, 2021 The gun shoots high (80/20), which is the biggest problem, and to the left (2" at 21 yards & just under 4" at 40 yards). Benelli performed a repair to lower the point of impact, which appears to have left the gun in an unsafe condition, so now the gun is heading back to Benelli for inspection/repair. Quote
zz3l4b Posted January 3, 2022 Author Posted January 3, 2022 Still haven't received my replacement sight from Benelli, I guess they cannot find one that isn't off center as they indicated to me on the phone a few weeks ago. Quote
