Help with fail to fire on M4

After much research I found a video where the manufacturer suggests that you shop around for an ammo brand that has slighter shorter shells so you can fit the 7th shell.  So far I haven't found one.

 

Don't mean to steal the thread but, the 7 shot tube will hold seven shells once you trim the length of the spring. There posts on this subject on this site.

NoTycoon, thank you for the hint on the 7 shot magazine.  That would be a great relief if I could fix that.

You can always run your M4 without the retaining spring and use the cap as the spring retainer.  It will give you a bit more capacity.

Interesting, my CC & OEM tube both hold 7. no spring chop although the last one is tight I haven’t found anything 2 3/4 that doesn’t fit 7.  maybe the FFT is a bit short?

Fullassault, what brand of ammo are you using to get 7 rounds?  I have heard variance in shell length can contribute to the problem.

Federal, Wolf, Winchester, Remington,Fiocchi,S&B,Sterling. Everything from #8 to 00
