Big Duke Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 This year I bought a Benelli 12 ga M2 field. The forend is scalloped. 4 scallops. It does not feel natural in my hand. It is different than all the Benelli's I own. Do they sell a different forend? It's disconcerting enough to me that it makes the firearm feel awkward in my hands. Any aftermarket friends that are different? Quote
remarkable Posted December 25, 2024 Posted December 25, 2024 I am assuming the M2 you purchased is the most recent design? I own one of these as well. The SBE 3 forend will fit without modification, however the design lines do not match up. You can use your current cap as well if you choose that path. This is a fantastic firearm, the Easy Bolt, two piece carrier latch, and the redesigned reciever angle greatly enhances ease of loading. The gun is super flat right out of the box, should fit most shooter without aid of the under appreciated quadra fit system. If I was on the design team, customer acceptance, I may have make a few changes to the forearm design. In Camo these design lines are less noticable. I would have also used the bolt handle from the SBE 3, which IMO looks more favorable and would have saved additional parts in the supply chain. I own most Benelli models and have worked on over 1600 Benelli's. The new M2 maybe the best Benelli ever built. 1 Quote
