Optic set up for Benelli M4

Did some upgrades a while back and I still haven’t come up with an optic setup for my M4. Looking for some ideas/options.

Was looking at a scalar works SNYC/01 Trijicon RMR/RCR set up but haven’t decided to pull the trigger.

Does anybody have a setup like this that can give me the pros/cons and maybe post some pics if you do.

i don’t have the rmr set up but i do have the scalar works sync version for the aimpoint t1/h1. i have a holosun 503g currently on it. It co-witnesses nicely.

i was considering switching to the Gideon Optics Advocate prism red dot to deal with my astigmatism. I just haven’t got around to it.

Happy Fourth of July!
I am new to the M4 and to this forum but certainly not to firearms or red dot sights. I prefer a circle + dot for this application so I have boiled down my choices to the Trijicon RMR HD or MRO. Would anyone be kind enough to please share your thoughts? Also, I prefer not to co-witness with the irons so your assistance with a replacement for the factory pic rail would be great, unless you recommend I mount directly to the pic rail.

I put the Vortex Viper multi-reticle shotgun red dot on my M3 and M4.  It has an integral mount and gets it very low on the receiver.  I like the way they work, but have not had an opportunity to sight them in yet.

I had the csalarworks RMR mount but I really didn’t care for the RMR….i now am running the Rusty Nuts MRO mount and love it.

Well here’s the current configuration that I decided on.

Installed some parts from Briley Manufacturing, Unity Tactical switch, Surefire light, Wilder Tactical sling, Scalarworks Sync 01 and a Trijicon RCR.

I mount my light directly under the mag tube to avoid "barrel shadow".

My exact setup with exception of the stock. Mine is a field stock and red dot is a 509T. Other than that our shottys are twins lol

RMR HD is a great choice

 

I am going to go with the new aimpoint duty that has multiple reticle including the eotech style perfect for a shotgun
