From a Milipol exibit in Paris. Clearly it's a direct relation of the Beretta Storm carbine but notice the benelli mark on the butt pad.

Hmm, purdy. Whenever I'm in the market for a semi-auto carbine and have loads of cash to blow, you know what I'll be buying.

 

Was the picture of the 800 from this same show?

Looks like a Benelli R1 with a pistol grip and collapsible stock that takes ar maps to me.

Looks like the new 5.56X45 caliber assault rifle developed for the Italian Army to me.

Clearly shows it's based on the R1 actions but with the beretta carbine stock. And yup, it's .223 and does accept AR mags.
