nodakspud M4 2-Mag Extension

Has anyone out there purchased a "nodakspud" M4 2-Mag extension?

If so, which one did you purchase the aluminum or steel and does it function flawless?

 

A friend of mine has purchased an 11707 and lacks the 2-mag extention. He's torn between the "sure cycle" (does not like the large looking knuckle) or the "Nodakspud" looks very close to the original.

I have the nodak extension steel and have not had any problems. You can also try brownells. A friend bought one from them but I have not seen it yet. There is a guy on this forum that sells the full lenght tubes for a little more than you can get the extensions for also.

Unless you absolutely must have the extension tube, I highly recommend you purchase one of SOCOMguy's full length mag tubes as mentioned previously.

 

Note: You will need a heat gun to remove your old short tube.

I believe the Nodakspud tube allows you to slip off the barrel w/o removing the extension. Just like the original Benelli 2 shot extension. I would HATE to have to unscrew my extension each and every time I removed the damn barrel. That wouls suck! Don't take my word on it though, call and check. +1 on the socomguys tubes! I, however, like the versatility of being able to take off the extension at will, though. You never know if you might end up in a socialist utopia like CA or NJ or some F.U. place like that. Sorry for any people that might have to live in one of these commie states.

I purchased one of the steel NoDak Spud tubes. I had a Benelli factory +2 tube to compare it to. The Benelli +2 tube allows the barrel to be removed without removing the extension. The NoDak Spud tube does not. You have to remove the NoDak tube to remove the barrel. Pain in the rear.

 

It functions the same, looks the same, but is heavier and requires removal before the barrel can come off.

I thought the 'fake' extension could stay on to remove the barrel, but I have to take mine off. Could anyone confirm whether or not this is standard for the 'fake' (original) extension? Because of this feature, I went with the surecycle since I have to remove the extension anyway. I don't have the true factory benelli +2 extension to compare with.

I have the nodak steel tube and have no problems removing the barrel with the extension on.

Hmm, my NoDak tube will NOT allow the barrel to slide over it and must be removed to take off the barrel. At least one other person here has said their NoDak extension will allow the barrel to slide over it. Sounds like their are variations in the lots of NoDak tubes.

 

I called the seller to ask about this and his reply was "all the tubes were made to the same spec, call the maker at ###-#### and speak with him about it."

 

My factory dummy extension tube and factory +2 tubes both allow the barrel to slide over them. My NoDak does not. Sounds like you are rolling the dice on whether or not the NoDak will allow your barrel to slide over it since some here can and some here can't.
