Unobtanium
One thing I did notice yesterday when cleaning my M4 is that the ejecting cases put (VERY) slight dings/gouges around the ejection port on the inner corners on their way out. I assume this is normal, yes?

Duggan
http://s3.supload.com/free/m4-bottomwear.jpg/view/ http://s3.supload.com/free/m4-topwear.jpg/view/ That is how your m4 ejection port will look after you put many more thousands of rounds through it. The bottom is actually worn more than the top is, it's just impossible to photograph the inside edge of the bottom receiver where all the wearing is. The gun still works 110%, so yea, I'd say it's normal.
Mr. Shotgun
Yeah, I'm having the same problem too I just take a permanent black magic marker and cover it up.... it'll look good in the case but when you fire the gun, the magic marker ink evaporates.... does anyone make touch up paint for guns? splashtx556ftw
i have noticed dings inside just about every auto rifle and shotgun ive ever looked at. in fact when buying a used automatic, its a dead give away to how much its been used. Oddly none of my AR's have any except on the little nub that keeps the shells out of my face. The Winchester 1500 I have has none. However, for this platform it is well and normal and if it ever bugs anyone, I suggest the Alumablack.
