One thing I did notice yesterday when cleaning my M4 is that the ejecting cases put (VERY) slight dings/gouges around the ejection port on the inner corners on their way out. I assume this is normal, yes?

Yeah, I'm having the same problem too I just take a permanent black magic marker and cover it up....

it'll look good in the case but when you fire the gun, the magic marker ink evaporates....

does anyone make touch up paint for guns?

Cool, im not worried about it in the least, just wanted to make sure everything was functioning 100% as it should be. Thanks :)

PS. For those of you who are worried about it, the above poster hit the nail on the head.

i have noticed dings inside just about every auto rifle and shotgun ive ever looked at. in fact when buying a used automatic, its a dead give away to how much its been used.;)

Oddly none of my AR's have any except on the little nub that keeps the shells out of my face. The Winchester 1500 I have has none. However, for this platform it is well and normal and if it ever bugs anyone, I suggest the Alumablack.
