Blue or Red Loctite for new mag tube?

I removed the stock mag tube in preparation for Socom's full length tube.

 

Upon removal with heat gun, there is NO residual thread locker on the reciever threads.

 

Do I apply red or blue loctite when I put in the new mag tube?

Use blue if you ever want to get it apart again.

I didn't use anything ... it's only come loose once when cleaning, never when shooting. It's not really needed imo ... YMMV

I have a Benelli extension on my SuperNova and it has only come loose once after about 100 shots.

That could be in one shooting session with me. Isn't it better to not come lose at all, especially when you need it?

That was in a single afternoon. And it only came loose once so it might have been that I didn't tighten it good enough to start with too.

Cody, i think you are right, i have a Tac-Star extension on my Super Nova and just ratchet that sucker down and it won't come loose .

If you use the red, you will have to use a torch to get it back apart. Blue will release using hand tools.
