Joks
Hi Everyone, I am planning on purchasing a SBE 2 in the coming days. Is there a way to know when it was produced? A code or something? I want to make sure I am buying a new gun and not something that has been sitting in the store for awhile. Thanks, Joks

NJgunner
Thanks Guys, That will be helpful information for this weekends possible purchase. I cant wait to get that SBE 2 Make sure you lubricate inside of hte recoil tube with the plunger pressed in with a screwdriver and work the CLP or oil in there good, or you will be pissed off at your new purchase like I was when it failed on me in the field! No problems since. (the manual is not specific as to what needs to be lubricated, only shows disassemly and reasessembly)
damon
So I take it a serial number for a gun is not the same as. Vin number meanin every number has a different menin
Sukhoi_fan
Can't go by serial number to get date of manufacture, it's strictly the two letter code on all Benellis post-1974 as indicated in list above.
