You may want to continue to use your Mossberg until small parts from Benelli improve, post covid. The M2 was redesigned this past year, some models within the core have not been rounded out to include all of the variety that was included in the past generation M2.
  2. Here is a photo from the Benelli Labatory in Italy. The Benelli Spec as noted counted from the middle of the circle directly above the point of aim. I am attaching another image for refernce. Your Ultralight seems to setup very nicely. The new M2 is very flat right out of the box. I have a 12 gauge as well, photo.
  3. Functionality of the safety as well as the the Top Lever is quite often misunderstood on the 828. Both were designed to slide with the design lines of the gun. Quite often shooters are applying downward pressure on both the safety and the top lever. When this occurs functionality of both components becomes resistant. My experience with the 828u which is robust has pointed to some issues with the Nickel versions, very few if any with the Anodized Versions as well as the PS Upland version's. I have not seen many stiff safeties in the past two years. If I handed some hunters my 828U Upland or 828U Sport very few could break the gun open with the top lever. Once shown the technique funtionality becomes very natural.
  4. Have you tried removing the stock. This gains clearance on "some" models.
  5. Great News! I noticed you are running the A Drop Shim & the A Drop shim plate in your Ultra Light. Is there a reason you have so very little drop? I can not recall any of the 900 + Quadra Fit fittings that I have done ended up in the A Drop Shim setup. Generally speaking when you eyeline is to high when looking down the rib you will see you mid bead under the front bead. These are the folks who are actually pointing the gun higher than they believe. Effect "My Benelli Is Shooting high". The correct language should be " I am shooting my Benelli high and I don't understand why".
  6. If you are going to create more drop in the gun stock you will use the C Drop Shim followed by the DX Cast shim, letters away from the reciever. You will then use the CDX Drop Shim plate in the buttstock, letters away from the reciever/top of the the drop shim plate. There is really no difference in the new M2 vs any other Quadra Fit Benelli with the excetion of the shape of the Drop & Cast shim.
  7. Hello: Here is a nice nice image for basic fitting and patterning: I can assist you with your shim questions later this evening.
  8. Benelli Pattern Spec: Up to 2” right of left Up to 5” above POA Up to 2” below POA AT 21 Yards!
  9. The best way to evaluate this for some, would b e to directly compare it to another 20 Gauge SBE 3. In some/most Benelli/Franchi line the recoil spring profile would be different.
  10. This is great advise, for multiple reasons.
  11. Your photo's are not complete to determin this, however this looks like a European version of the Montefeltro Super 90 imported by H&K at the time.
  12. Yes - I have worked on several hundred of them. They could be ordered at the time, low or high rib.
  13. You can load the firearm without cocking the hammer by depressing the drop shell lever. The results of using the drop shell lever is virtually the same as your Mossberg. Different design same results.
  14. You can get on the "Notify Me" List. Small parts from Benelli will get much better.

    20ga SBE3

The bolt handle will remove, please remember new guns are very tight. If you assemble it a couple times it becomes very easy.

    20ga SBE3

The 20 gauge is a two piece reciever design like the SBE 3 3" Version. You would want to put the reciever top cover in place, then insert the guns barrel assemble into the reciever cover with the handgaurd installed on the barrel.
  17. You will need to sign up on the notify me list at Midwest Gun Works. All of Benelli's small parts are handled by them. They will get new inventory first before any other distributor. The limbsaver pads works great on a M2, you may be able to use one of these until a OEM one is available: Benellli M2 Comfortech 10810 10401
  18. For best response you will want to talk to Benelli Customer Service and request a RMA. You will want to have your serial number. This should be done by telephone. "Thanks for the feedback. My main concern is that the “scoring” is deep enough on the edge/lip of the chamber that you can feel it with a fingernail, which seems like something that should have been caught during QC. What are the odds Benelli would replace the barrel in connection with this?" The entire gun was shipped to Rob Roberts for modification such as force cone lengthening. Rob Roberts would have shipped it back to Benelli USA for distribution, well beyond the QC process.
  19. Benelli has a 10 year warranty on this model of shotgun. I would suggest if you want to pursue this, call in a RMA, but do not send in the gun until after your season is over. This could be a extended wait time, it would be a challenge for Benelli to get another barrel for the gun.
  20. Super Happy your dealer is able to correct this. Thank you for posting on the forum!
  21. After studing your photo's, photo number 1, it appears your gun is 3" version. IF this is true you are very lucky damage was not done to the gun.
  22. Great insight Steve: Is it a 2 piece Barrel/Reciever or 1 Piece Barrel in which the barrel and portion of the barrel that covers the reciever is 1 piece, see photo of SBE 3.5" The SBE 3" is a two piece design meaning the portion that covers the reciever is aloy. A note for Steve: the newest models SBE 3 3": coming from Italy have two taped hole near the rear of the aloy portion of the reciever. If you have a 2 piece reciever your gun is a 3" gun. Please reach out if you may need assistance, via PM.
  23. I will experiment with some 3.5" ammo, and report back. Three possibilities: Carrier latch as previously descibed Shot shell overall length, if possible check this with other brands Carrier could be bent, not allowing the shell to move to the correct position
  24. To clarify: 2 3/4" & 3" shells cycle perfectly? 3.5" shells will not release from magazine completely?
  25. Could you clarify: "round coming out of the magazine was stuck partially in the magazine". Is your Carrier Latch not allowing the shells release from the magazine completely? Here are two photo's looking down a magazine tube: One photo shows a Carrier Latch that is out of adjustment, putting too much pressure on shells coming out of magazine, the other photo is properly adjusted Carrier Latch. Did you have your OEM bolt handle? Some asftermarket bolt handles are cut incorrectl, either making contact with the reciever or slidding through the bolt handle dent. I have seen this far too many times. I would also get a box of 2 3/4" 3 Dram 1 1/8 oz ammo. Are you shootting BB"s - if so many of these have OD greater than Benelli ID bore. Attached. Please reach out by PM if you need additional assistance.
