  1. Is your Super Sport in the Ethos chassis?
  2. There is no style number for SBE 3 combo's. May wish to look for a used one. If you watched how a barrel is made you would ask yourself how they can sell it so cheap.
  3. The fine fold at Accurate Arms have Wolff OEM Power Spring and 25% Increase Springs. I buy all of my Wolff Springs from them. Buy one of each and give them a try. The 25% Increase spring was designed for heavy loads.

    SBE3 issue

Was the recoil spring tube ever removed from the gun previously? The aluminum recoil spring tube is a 21MM design which has been used in the SBE 1 original design USA version, most if not all H&K SBE 1's used a 19 MM design, all versions are locktite in place. If you had the recoil spring replaced at some point it was more than likely done improperly.
  5. The 3" SBE 3 uses the removable "Top Cover" , the 3.5" SBE 3 has tapped holes..."tapped holes extend into the actual (steel) barrel extension". The 20 Gauge and 28 Gauge SBE 3 has the removable top plate:
  6. Rex, you should consider the Franchi Affinity 3 for about 850.00, for many reasons this would be a excellent choice
  7. Steve, This would be a very risky mount. The material is very thin, you would not be able to get more than 2 threads taped into the metal thickness, secondly the metal is not ideal for such application. Finally the replacement cost for a new top cover is not cheap. The stability of the piece is questionable when assembled.
  8. Apparently you must not need any assistance, the information listed above was a attempt to get to the core of your issue. Several suggestions were made, it would be great if you included the sub model and the year the gun was made. It is unlikely that it is a weak extractor spring. Secondly this part is very difficult to remove.
  9. Here is a good starting point for the M2 in so much as shim kit install. Starting closest to the receiver. C - Drop Shim DX Cast shim Both of these should be facing towards the butt end of the gun. Install stock. The Drop Shim Plate should then be set up CDX letters on top facing the butt of the gun.
  10. Check your fore end cap and see if the "pin" is missing from it.
  11. The Montifeltro Silver are very attractive guns, it is as full production gun made every year. There is very little value added having the Ducks Unlimited stampings. Quite a few gun brands and models utilize this branding. Very unique at that, however in most cases does not significantly raise the value monetarily. In this case, the Montifeltro Silver nothing outside of the DU stamping is different than the Standard 10850, individual guns that were stamped were most likely hand picked for the best in class wood selection.
  12. This appears to be some sort of Montifeltro. If you could confirm the model . If it is a Montifeltro you will need to replace your Recoil Spring with a Wolff OEM power Recoil Spring, Secondly the gun is being overlubricated. Upon reassembly the gun will only need two drops of high quality gun oil like CLP on each side of the bolt. The magazine spring should be removed and evaluated for replacement as well. These era of guns used a lot of locktite on the Recoil Spring Tube Nut/Screw as well as the magazine tube which may or may not have facilitations for removal.
  13. This offering is very similar to the M4 T-Pro which can be found on the Benelli Europe website.
  14. Sounds like your dealer is willing to work with you, offering you another gun as a exchange. Perhaps request a photo of the other gun, then make your decision. The Nova is a very solid gun, it will last you a lifetime, super durable. I have worked on well over 1100 Benelli's, only three of them have been Nova's! 10 year Warranty...
  15. Stamping as shown are completed after Camo Dipping, every Nova & Super Nova will have some degree of "Shatter" when stamped.
  16. Here is a listing of some differences in the models: SBE 3 shoots up to 3.5" shells in the 3.5" model Cordoba shoots up to 3" shells SBE 3 weighs a few ounces more Cordoba has carbon fiber wide style rib with eye channel & mid bead. SBE 3 - no mid bead Cordoba - ported, comes with 5 extended choke tubes, BE.S.T Finish standard SBE 3 - not ported, BE.S,T model available Cordoba will shoot 7/8OZ. loads SBE 3 shoots 1 1/8 oz. minimums Cordoba - 4+1 Capacity SBE 3 - 3+1 Capacity Cordoba - sight window in for end SBE - none
  17. This sound like a Carrier that is out of adjustment. A few issues have come up in this thread that requires careful thought. Benelli guns that are sent to Benelli USA are not sent to Italy for repair. When replacing Super Black Eagle recoil spring my choice is generally the OEM Benelli spring that can get purchased at Midwest Gun Works part number 61088. The Wolff 25% increase spring is to stiff for "Light Loads" remembering the minimum oz. for 3.5" Benelli is 1 1/8. Many guns will shoot lighter in the right environment such as correct shouldering, warmer weather, shooting from the 11 O'clock to the 1 O'clock when the bolt now faces the force of gravity. I am including a list of Quick Tips that I have shared several times. The list general in applications list good insights on Cycling and Benelli fitting. M2 jamming

The M2 has a rear spring that IMO is a bit soft, secondly as noted recoil spring tolerances, vary from gun to gun, wish they were better. With that I replace M2 recoil springs in most cases with a Wolff OEM power spring, and have had improved performance and less tolerance variation from spring to spring. Your photo which is nice does not provide details such as: is this a new shell going forward or the old shell not ejecting. Underestimating the importance of shouldering a inertia recoil gun is quite often a difficult conversation with gun owners, it in many cases evokes a responses that discounts, minimizes and deflects its importance in core cycling issues. Please let me know if I can help.
